What is the maximum and type of memory for a ms1 6322 motherboard

    Thanks for your reply but at the moment there is no internet access. i want to buy the correct memory module to urgrade the computer. i tried to find the motherboard on the MSI site but could not..

Hi if you go to
look on their site and they have a programme that scans your computer and tells you everything about it and it also tells you the maximum of everything you can have like mem and hardrive i found this a brilliant site as i build my own comps to sell and having this info allows me to build the computers the the highest spec they are capable of.

    this takes you to where you can pick *********** board out of the drop down list then it will tell you everything you need to know ok.
    Dont use the scan feature you can just put in manually the make of mother board and it will then tell you what you need to know ok

According to the manual, to max out the board's RAM you'd need to install 2 1GB sticks of DDR RAM. It can support DDR400/333/266. 2GB is it's maximum capacity.

So, it's the older PC133/PC100 RAM, not the newer DDR RAM, nor the newest DDR2 RAM,
that will be compatible with the 266 (2 times 133) or 200 Mhz (2 times 100) speed of the bus.

Okay, the maximum memory you can install is 1GB.
However, you either have 256mb or 512mb soldered on to the motherboard already, so check this out before buying.
The memory type is: 200 Pin SO DIMM DDR2100 266MHz

Does this motherboard support ddr400

Yes, this does support ddr400, there are two memotry sockets on the board they will hold 1 gig each you could try a 2gig stick in each but according to the spec on the board it only takes upto 2gigs of ram.

Upgrade memory

Hi there
The motherboard supports 2BG DDR SDRAM memory, 1BG each slot, make sure the memory clock speed is no higher than 400 MHz.
