I have a 1998 Toyota Camry...Trying to hook up an Alpine...Need to know what wires to connect to the alpine.Car Wires are same with grey spots.....

From what I can tell you cut the wires to your factory wiring harness and that is what you want to hook up to. My advice is to reconnect the factory harness and buy the adapter harness for your car and use that to hook up to the alpine it will save you hours and possibly your sanity. If you want to hook up directly to your car without the adapter you will need to figure out what wires are the power ignition and ground with a multimeter or power light. Easiest way to find ground is to just put in a ground wire with in a foot or so from the deck. Then it's just a guess and check for the correct placement of power. I suggest turning the power placement on the deck to what speaker you want and repeat for all speakers until your finished. Or you can buy a Chiltons or Haynes manual the should have a wiring diagram

Ok, before you do anything else. STOP!! You can try to find the vehicle side of the harness from the Scosche or PAC website. You run the risk of frying your entire electrical system. Hope this helps.

I just picked up a 12" type r in a box with a alpine m 350 how do I know what kind of type R I have without taking it out of the box?? and how do i hook it up to this amp??

Not to insult you in any way but u need to know how to wire into car's electrical system at the battery then to a fuse then to the amp and then output the signal from the deck to the amp.. finally to the subwoofer. you need to hook up 12V constant battery power , then remote from the deck ,ground wire from amp to chasis for power.. then wire to sub.

I bought a used puch 400.4 for my 1999 dodge durango and plan to use the factory stereo, however ther are no hook ups for rca cables. i heard about line level converters but on the punch 400.4 there are...

Hello riggstr44,

The "pass-through" jacks are outputs that allow you to send the same input to another amp.

Each set of the remaining RCA's handles a pair of channels (2 speakers).

You want a 4-channel LOC like the one shown here:

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_142SLC4/Scosche-SLC4.html?tp=2001

Connect the speaker wires from the factory receiver to the input screw terminals (marked A1 through A8) and run 2 pairs of RCA cables to the 2 sets of inputs on the 400.4.

Hope this helps.

Hooking the mra-f350 to my highs

You will only need to connect the door speakers to the MRA-F350. In short, the connections will be as follows:

Deck---->MRA-F350 amp---->Door speakers
...................................\---->Sub amp---->Sub(s)

Just make sure you use the optical digital output of the deck to connect to the optical digital input of the MRA-F350 amp, not the RCA preamp connections.

No sound to the in car speakers from my alpine cda-9827 cd player

What kind of car did you install this in? Did it have a factory radio in it? If I had to take a guess I would think that there is a factory amp that you may have hooked the blue wire from the alpine deck to. If this is the case when you switch to CD the alpine deck turns off the power to the power antenna lead(blue wire) and thus your factory amp. If this is the case hook the factory amp turn on to the blue and white wire and you should be good to go.

Some 4-Runners have a factory system that uses a separate amplifier to power the rear speakers. In this case you need to activate the amplifier using the blue/white remote output from your Alpine deck. It sounds like the wire that activates the amplifier is currently attached to the deck's blue "power antenna" output, so that the amplifier is only on when the tuner is selected. Disconnect whatever is attached to the blue wire behind the deck, and attach it to the blue/white wire instead. That should solve the problem.
