First you do not specified the model of the printer,,,but assuming it is a Hp printer..and all..I will link you to the manufacturer site to download the driver again and reinstall ...cause if it is all OK with the printer physical...and it has the right driver it has to print..
First if you have the possibility plug the printer in another computer with another operation system ..just to check the function ...and be sure that it is just a matter of compatibility with windows 7...(or if you had it on Xp or vista before and worked..that ok too)
In what regards the windows 7 driver ..it has to be on the exact type you use..(there are available on 32 and 64) ..if you have a windows 7 on 64 ..you have to get a driver for the exact OS..
The other posibility ..is that you downloaded a driver from another place and it is not perfect match ...so I will link you to the Hp support site ..and if you do not manage...let me know the exact make and model and I will provide with the direct link for the driver ...Also I need to know the Operation system ...are you sure it is windows 7?? there are variants of Xp...with a windows & interface and they even look the same ...and such ...so ..to be sure what operation system you have ..right click on my computer icon ...and click properties..and read there ..the os...the variant ..and the bit..32 or 64..
after that look on the link I will put under..and select the model (exact match ) and the operation system ..and download the support driver ..and reinstall it ..If all is well with the printer itself ..it will work for sure ..

also check the cable to be proper inserted..and not damaged..and the printer to be on ...when you install it and when you engage the job print ..

Can no longer check my ink level.

Sometimes Windows 7 drivers need to be downloaded from the HP support site. Also, make sure you have installed the application on the CD that came with the printer in addition to the printer drivers. That is what you would have run under Programs before. If your Windows 7 computer was not used to manage the printer before, you will need to install the HP management tool on it in order to see ink levels.

Make hp psc1500 compatible with windows 7

Not compatible or not working well with windows 7?
(making a program work with windows 7)

Maybe, It doesn't work because the driver/application you installed is for other versions of operating system. I am also using windows 7 like you so don't you worry, You can still use your old installer/driver from other versions of operating systems. Just remember that before installing any program in a windows 7 Operating System Computer, Use "troubleshoot compatibility". Right Click the Icon of your program installer/application first, then choose "troubleshoot compatibility". This will allow you to choose on what type operating system your program will run. Just reply back if it still doesn't work.:D rate and vote for me:)) julyallan01_52.jpg

Hi i have an hp officejet 4355 allin one printer that worked well on windows xp. i changed to windows seven and used my hp disck but cannot load the printer. how must i do it. thank you. george weber....

Hi!

The driver or software that's on your disc may not be compatible with windows 7.. According to HP website, HP has not created a driver for your printer that is compatible with windows 7.. But Windows7 has it's own driver for your printer..

Try the ff steps to install the windows 7 driver:
- frist, uninstall the program you loaded from the disc
- go to Control Panel, Look for Programs & Features or Uninstall a program.. it will load the list of all programs in your machine.. Click the entry /entries for HP Printer, then click uninstall button on top of the list..
- or you can reload the disc and it should give you the option to uninstall it..

Then, follow this for the proper installation of your printer..

Hope this helps.. :D

    Hi

Please go to the Control Panel > Remove Programs or similar, and remove all HP printer related software.

Then download and install the Windows 7 version of the HP software here.

HP PSC 1350 Photo Printing (Glossy Paper) Pront Quality issue

keep checking the HP site for an updated Driver for your printer, but why not use an online photo printing service like Walgreens or Walmart, You can't possibly print photos at home cheaper than they can, and this way you get actual photographs back.
