What you can do first here is to clear all the browsing settings on your computer including the Temporary internet files, cookies , browsing history, you can do that via the Tools menu of your browser then after doing that try to log in again and see if that works. But if still not working and you have a different browser that you can try using like Firefox that will be a good option for us to try. But after trying those suggestion and still not working try to log in to a different computer will be the next thing to do so we can really see if you account was compromise of its just a problem with your computer settings.

Hi,

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and i would be glad to assist you.

I would like to share Few Details :-

1. First of all try to Use a Different Machine to Login. Are you able to Login?

If not, then Use Forgot Password Option to reset your Password.

2. If still unable to Login, it could be a small Glitch or your Account could be under Maintenance. You could write an email to Yahoo for the same.

3. In case, your account has been Compromised, there are Different Procedure for letting Yahoo know about the same.

4. Yahoo has NO LEGAL LIABILITY to provide you with your Password, if you do not Remember Security Questions.

5. You might need to Scan and Send Documents to get this Resolved on the Discretion of Yahoo.

6. If this is Paid Email, you would have an Upper Hand.If it is Free, DO NOT EXPECT much.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

  • What does "Keep me signed in" mean? If you check the "Keep me signed in" box, you can stay signed in to Yahoo! on this computer for up to 2 weeks or until you sign out. To protect your personal information when you access some Yahoo! services, we may ask you to enter your password again. The "Keep me signed in" checkbox applies to this computer only. If you're using a public computer, we recommend that you uncheck the checkbox. You can also modify the number of times you're asked for your password by clicking on My Account at the top of most Yahoo! pages once you sign in. If you do so, Yahoo! will ask you to verify your password more frequently, although your sign-in screen will still indicate every "two weeks". (More information on modifying your sign-in settings)
  • What is this image at the top of my sign-in box? It's a sign-in seal - a feature to help you protect your Yahoo! password against fraud. (Find out more about sign-in seals.)
  • Not seeing your sign-in seal? If you set up your sign-in seal but now no longer see it, you could be on a fraudulent site. Look carefully at your browser's address bar. A genuine Yahoo! sign-in page will always display https://login.yahoo.com just before the next forward slash. (Read more about identifying a real Yahoo! sign-in page.)
  • Concerned about password security? Yahoo! submits your ID and password using SSL, which provides a level of security when transmitting data. (More information on password security.)
  • What if I forgot my ID or password? Look up your ID and/or password after confirming some personal information. Remember to use your full Yahoo! ID (e.g. free2rhyme@yahoo.com) to sign in.
  • Having problems logging in? Did you forget to include your full Yahoo! ID? If so, please remember to use your full Yahoo! ID to sign in.

Tip

Can't log into Yahoo Mail

Can't log into Yahoo! Mail?
Are you sure that Caps Lock isn't on, Upper-case letters and lower-case letters are different and so your Yahoo! ID must be entered correctly e.g. BobSmith@yahoo.com - note how the @yahoo.com part isn't capitalized and the name can vary.

If still you can't log into your account after you have checked all spelling and casing for errors then you can request a new password from Yahoo!

Has your Yahoo! Mail account been compromised?

If you notice changes to your account that you did not make yourself and you think that your Yahoo account has been compromised, immediately change your password.

If you are not able to sign into your Yahoo! account, visit the Yahoo's sign in problems page. These pages ask for basic information, such as your birthday and the postal code you provided when you registered to verify that you are the true owner of the account. After verification, Yahoo! will reset your password.
Next, report the possible fraud to Yahoo!. Contact customer care and supply as much detail as possible regarding the problem: I have written a seperate tip on how to do this, it can be found here: http://www.fixya.com/support/r6845388-scams_phishing_yahoo_mail

Did you reply to an unsolicited email asking for your Yahoo! ID or password, please include as much information as possible regarding the email you received
Do you believe your password was collected from a website that was not Yahoo! Include the full address of the webpage you saw collecting passwords.

NOTE: If you supplied credit card or bank account numbers to an unverified website or in an email message, you should immediately report this to your financial institutions.
Immediately after you have either restored your account or created a new one, contact all the people you had in your contacts and tell them that your account had/has been compromised and that they must ignore any emails received from it.

Dear Mam / Sir, My Yahoo ID is : obhavin@yahoo.com I Know my password but when i enter my password on yahoo Mail that time yahoo mail page not except my password. It shows below message has...

f you forgot your Yahoo! ID, you need to provide three pieces of information so we can confirm your identity:
  • Your birthday
  • Your ZIP or postal code (at the time you created your Yahoo! account or when you last updated it)
  • Your alternate email address -Note: You must have access to this email address
  • Country code (at the time you created your Yahoo! account or when you last updated it)
Be sure to provide the same information you gave the last time you registered for a new Yahoo! ID or password or the last time you updated your account.
If you forgot your password, you can create a new one. But first you'll have to provide the following information so we can confirm your identity:
  • Your Yahoo! ID
  • Alternate email address, mobile phone number, or the answers to your secret questions
A Reset Your Password link will be sent to your alternate email address. Click the link and enter your new password in the Reset your password page.
If you entered your secret question incorrectly or forgot what you originally entered, for security reasons, we cannot tell you what your Yahoo! ID is or let you create a new password.

To change your password:
  1. From the Yahoo! Home page, click on your user name in the upper right.(You will need to be signed in already)
  2. From the drop down select Account Info
  3. You will be asked to sign in again to enter your Account Info page.
  4. Click Change your password
  5. You will be taken to a page that will look like the one below.

    131-0000000003.jpg
  6. Enter your current password.
  7. Enter and confirm your new password.
  8. Click Save. You will see a confirmation page when you have successfully changed your password.
  9. Click Continue.
Your Yahoo! password always applies to your entire Yahoo! account. This means that it is valid not only for Yahoo! Mail but also for Yahoo!'s other personalized services like :
  • Yahoo! Messenger
  • Yahoo! Chat
  • My Yahoo!
  • Yahoo! Finance
Note: If you are having difficulty logging into your account or believe your account may have been compromised please request a new password.
