That is a "rolloff" switch. Basically it is a sensitivity switch for the lower end response. If the mic seems too sensitive to the lower frequencies, put the switch into the position that looks like this: ____

Hope this helps,

1. I would not be concerned because if there was a failure in the ABS you would definitely get an ABS warning light and the ABS and most likely the stability control/traction control systems (with added warning lights) will all switch off .

2. You can test if the ABS is operational. On a very quiet damp surface, straight, wide road( with NO other cars around), apply your brakes hard from a very low speed - up to 20 mph ONLY driving in a straight line - until the car stops. The front brakes should attempt to lock up under hard braking and if the ABS is operational you will feel it kick in and the brake pedal will pulsate as the ABS constantly allows brake pressure and then releases it to prevent the wheels from locking up on the damp road. If the ABS does not kick in be ready to release the brake pedal quickly to allow the wheels to rotate so you can steer the car safely. Without the ABS the front wheels should begin to lock up on the damp road surface due to the low level of tire grip. ONLY test this at very low speed and ONLY when driving in a straight line on a straight section of wide road with no other vehicles around.

Are there cv joints on the front

constant velocity joints are for front wheel drive cars to transfer the power from the transmission/engine to the front drive wheels that turn around corners , your car is rear wheel drive , rear wheels do not turn around corners so it does not need any type of joints , its a straight drive axle , incidentally your car has the 3.o jaguar engine id bet since they were a deal ford did when obtaining jaguar (let them use them in there lux cars)

I have an RCA television (Model #: F27443). I need to change the tv/video to video, but I don't have a remote. Also, there is no button for tv/video on the front panel for this particular model.

Hi - Push the leftmost button on the front panel, labelled Menu. Go to "list and labels." I'll bet that you will find that the inputs have been switched off. Switch them on and they will appear in your normal channel line-up.

Noticed the brake light was alwasy on where are

There is a switch on the handlebar brake lever and a pressure switch somewhere along the metal rear brake line. Since they change the location of this pressure switch from time to time and I don't know exactly where it is on your bike, just follow the metal brake line that comes out of the back of your rear brake master cylinder. You'll recognize it when you see it. It will have two or four wires connected to two spade plugs.

If I were a betting man, I'd bet that someone at some time has loosened the master cylinder on the handlebars to adjust something or taken the throttle switch housing loose. The front brake light switch in located inside the throttle switch housing. If the master cylinder and the switch housing are not firmly pushed against each other, the brake lever will not depress the front brake switch when your release the brake. This will cause the brake light to stay on all the time. Loosen the master cylinder clamp bolts and slide the master cylinder and brake lever snuggly against the face of the switch housing. This will probably fix your problem. If not, you'll need to do a little electrical troubleshooting to determine whether the front brake switch or the rear pressure switch is bad. For this, you'll need a Volt Ohm meter and a wiring diagram.
Try the switch first.

Holes in clothes

I'd bet the holes are the same size as the holes in the dryer tumbler. the only thing I can think of is that your dryer isn't tumbling and the heat that is pushed through the holes is burning your clothes.

Our topload Kenmore Elite washer will not fill with water. It starts to agitate right away upon setting the dial

try switch in the load size?? sounds like your having a problem with the pressure/ water level switch. it must think its full of water already. you would need to pop open the control panel. either 2 screws located on back of console (while looking over the top of machine and straight down you should see 2 Phillips head screws in both corner of top screwing straight down. if not the 2 front end caps will pop of control panel to reveal the screws. undo the screws and tip the console back( its hinged), the far left is the pressure switch, it has a clear plastic tubing leading to it. remove the tube and try blowing through it(clear the line) try also blowing back into the switch itself you should hear it click. if after that it still doesnt work id say the switch is no good
