View deleted history

If want to see what's been viewed on a computer or if you want to find a website that you visited, but can't quite remember the name of, you'll need to check your computer's history and cookies folders.

These are where the information about a computer user's Internet whereabouts are kept.
Some people say these folders contain the user's "footprints."

The footprints aren't hard to find. All it takes is a few mouse clicks and you're there.
Open your Web browser and click on the "Favorites, Feeds and History" tab. Internet Explorer's tab is indicated by a yellow star.

Click on the "History" tab. There should be a list of items arranged either by "Date," "Site," "Most Visited" or "Visited Today."

Click on each of these items to see what's been viewed on the computer.

If the history has been deleted, click on "Tools" and a drop-down menu will appear.
Click on "Internet Options."

On the "Internet Options" screen, click on "Settings" under "Browsing history."

Click on "View files" to display the cookies on the computer.

Cookies are pieces of information from websites that a computer saves to make loading the information faster. You can click on these items to see what they are.

Internet explorer operating slowly vista internet explorer 8 Comcast broadband

Hi, fw4golf.
There's a few things you can try. First, try disabling or uninstalling any toolbars you may use with Internet Explorer. They tend to do more harm than good. Also, try clearing out your cache and cookies. Go up to Tools, Internet Options, and then Clear Browsing History. That should help.
Thanks for posting.

Go to START-->RUN-->type "%temp%" -->click OK and delete that folder also. Have a restart done..Delete the internet history and cookies.

Also perform an disc clean up on your system.
This is done by going to MY COMPUTER-->Right click on any disc either C or D-->PROPERTIES--> There you can see the disc clean up option.

All these steps are applicable only if you are using an Microsoft windows operating system.

Unable to load Roxio Creator 2009. Message says 'wizard was interrupted, your system has not been modified'. My operating system in Vista Home Premium.

During the installation of DirectX 9 portions of Creator 2009, the installation halts, it perhaps tries to roll back, gives an error....wizard was interrupted ... and cannot be completed.

Resolution
Open My Computer (or Computer for Vista users) from your Start menu.

Go to C: drive -> Windows folder -> System32 folder.

Look for a file called dsetup.dll in the System32 folder.

Rename the file to "dsetupOLD.dll" or delete the file.

Reinstall Creator 2009 and follow the on-screen instructions.

It helped some..

I had installed Home Vista before Ike and now the systems keeps telling me I have to upgrade my windows 2002? My case number was 1078167319

Hi,

Prior to the windows vista installation, did you reformat your hard drive and clean out everything? I am not sure why you have that message, asking you to upgrade your windows 2002 if your system has windows vista already,

I suggest, if you keep on having this message. Try reformatting and reinstalling your vista again. But before you do it, make it sure that you passed all the system requirements since windows vista has higher specification than your old operating system.

Keep me posted.

Thanks
