I have a yamaha "htr-5630"

NEVER USE MAXIMUM VOLUME FOR TROUBLESHOOTING. The errant switch or control that you eventually find and flip will suddenly release the amp's full power and you'll destroy your speakers. If a signal isn't audible at 1/2 volume, for all intents and purposes it's not there.

Look for a misplaced Mute or Tape Monitor control or Multichannel Analog Input selected.

There is a good chance that a common control may have developed a high-resistance or 'dead' spot through idleness and is causing your symptom. Turn the POWER OFF and operate every control throughout its range a number of times, especially rarely-used ones like Tape Monitors and the Mute control.

Turn the volume to something reasonable and see if that helped.

My 2005 Accord's radio / CD player will not produce sound to the speakers, the display panel works fine. Sometimes a loud static sound will come from the speakers with no volume control, powering off gets...

The sound chip may have gone in the stereo, especially if someone has had it on very loud they sometimes blow, otherwise you have 2 speaker wires touching each other, that way you only get static noise, insidee the door they sometimes come free and touch the body

Check all your speaker wires first.

Hey there, you have a sound level on your computer, available in the control panel as well as the volume knob on the speakers. Check the sound level on your pc. Let me know if this doesn't help.

Blippy Sound

Sounds like the cords that are going into the PC/system have static. Remove the cords from the speakers and simply put your finger around the jacks to remove static. Push the cords and the jacks back in and switch on the speakers. Then twist the volume control, turning it up loud and then low, then loud and low again. That should cure the problem as it removes static that gets built up over time. Either that or your speakers could well be damaged.

Loud hum with static when speakers turned on

There is def. a loose connection somewhere in your system. This is a grounding problem within the system if nothing else. Def. a "lazy" connection somewhere.

Volume control unresponsive

The LED didn't turn on ,indicate the DC pwr was missing , you need to ensure there is a Dc supply to the speaker unit, once you got the LED on you will be able to control the volum.
