Question about Gateway Computers & Internet
Assuming that you do not make any changes on it ..we will begin with the most obvious..and try to see whats with the sound driver and settings ..
.1st . check if your system has an audio device driver installed by going to the device manager ...following this: right click on the my computer ..than choose properties and hardware ..than device manager ...(you can also get here from control panel /system ..hardware .....)
here you will find a list with devices and in line the driver installed...look for audio and media controller..and see if it has a driver and if it normal ..cause if it is in yellow with a ask mark on it..it means the the driver is missing and this is our problem
If the driver is present and it seam ok ..will be written in line ..and with normal black color..by its name ..
and in this case we have to see the next thing ..
also when you reply your comment let me know the make and the model of the laptop so I will prepare the drivers for a re-installation in case of need..also specify the Operating system in use...
