Yes, I have the same problem.  I need the paddle for Welbilt "The Bread Machine" model ABM-100-3.  I know it's an old machine but if I can get the part instead of buying a new machine I would prefer to do so.  It still works.........:)  Thanks for any info.

Bread not rising as it used to, not sure if problem with paddle or...?

just as a hint - there is few thousand breadmaker manufacturers... each of them is making several models... we do not live with you...

how we can help if we do not know what manufacturer and model?!? telepathy is overrated...

now, paddle have nothing to do with rise of the bread, yeast and temperature do! if paddle is mixing the dough - there is no problem with paddle!

buy pack of new yeasts (dry if you use dry, i prefer live ones), then try bake again, if bake is ok, you solved your problem, yeasts were old and enzymes stop working, if there is no change in results with new yeasts, try use same yeasts in different machine, if result is ok in different machine, you heating element is at fault... time for new machine...

you do not need to be super accurate with your baking, allow little play...

my favourite bread:
3.75 cup flour (non-bleached!)
1.75 cup milk (tepid, body temperature)
2 table spoon olive oil or butter
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3 sachets dry yeast (21g - 0.7oz) if live yeast - about golfball size

enjoy!

Bread does not rise

Make sure you are using the correct type of yeast. The old style active dry yeast is not as good. I recommend that you try Red Star Quick Rise Instant Dry yeast. Also be sure to store the yeast in the refrigerator. And, if you are not using a mix, try King Arthur Flour, it costs a bit more, but their tighter standards means you get more consistent results. They also have bakers who will answer your questions for free at 802-649-3717.

What kind of breadmaker? Could be you actually forgot to put in the yeast or the yeast was too old.
Also, you have to let the breadmaker cool before attempting another loaf right away.

Hi
I do not know what the correct temperature range should be, but may I suggest a trying new batch of fresh yeast. ( Just in case you batch has absorbed some moisture, preventing it rising. )

Accidentally threw out paddle for Breadman TR2500 BC

Order from Goodman's Appliance parts website. Listed as Part# BM-20274. It does not list a paddle as fitting in the Model TR2500 BC but, it's the exact same part.

Not rising and meally texture

Hello psaulina,

When I hear of bread not rising, I always suspect the yeast first.

You said you've used the hawaiian bread mix multiple times. From the same container? Or have you tried multiple different packages (hopefully from different production lots)?

Back in the day when my Mom was baking bread on a regular basis, she'd occasionally get a bad batch of yeast, and the bread would be the weight and consistency of fruitcake, but with somewhat less flavor. (We ate it anyway).

If your yeast is separate from the bread mix (don't know, you didn't specify), you need to first check the quality of your yeast. If the yeast is too old, or just bad, your bread won't rise.

To test the yeast, mix a sample in warm water (~105 deg. F) and add a little sugar. If the yeast is good, it should start forming bubbles. No bubbles, time to get new(er) yeast.

If your yeast checks-out, then you need to see if something in the machine's process is overheating the yeast too soon - - the yeast's fermentation process creates the carbon dioxide (CO2) bubbles that causes the bread to rise (sort of like inflating a balloon, if you like). If something is killing the yeast (e.g. too much heat too early in the process), it won't react and create the bubbles.

If I can be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it accordingly.

Good luck, and thanks in-advance for your rating,

Jon

My breadmaker model BBCC-V20 completes the entire cycle, however the dough does not rise at all! I've tried with brand new ingredients eggs bread flour and yeast. Tried 3 times - no success at all.

Hi ravimalini,

Something is stopping the yeast from acting (fermentation creates to CO2 bubbles that cause the bread to rise). Was the new yeast you used all from the same batch? (sometimes they have bad days at the yeast factory, too). Can you watch when it runs through the cycle, and check for conditions _before_ the dough is supposed to rise? If it heats up much too quickly/soon, the heat can kill the yeast before it get to do it's job.

Try different batch of yeast. If still a problem increase the amount of yeast and/or sugar. Also if it rises and then falls there may be too much liquid.
