Question about Poulan Pro PR550N21RH 21Inch 190cc Briggs Stratton 625 Series Gas Powered Side DischargeMulchBag Lawn Mower (NonCARB Compliant) ()
If the motor is running, it has nothing to do with the spark plug. Those small engines have a rev limiter the gives the engine more power when under strain and then reduces the power when not under strain. This is a simple fix. Look near the carburator. You will see some rods with springs and one of those rods goes in toward the engine. More than likely, you have an over stretched spring. If you can do it, (***SAFELY***), start the motor and give a gentle tug on that rod. The engine will REV UP! This will solidify my point that the spring is wore out. Easy and cheap fix. Just be aware of the spinning blades under the deck, unless you have a blade disengage feature but I am not aware if the Poulan has that option on the handle bar.
