Try updating java, it's more than likely outdated. Go to java.com/ it should have the download in the menu. I hope this helped. Let me know if it did.

Yahoo mail will not open

If you or someone else have already set up a Yahoo Mail account, you can open your Yahoo mailbox.
The process just takes a moment.

Open your Web browser and type "mail.yahoo.com" (without the quotes) in the browser's address bar, then press "Enter."

Type your Yahoo ID. It is the same as the front half of your email address.
For example, if your email address is "jbob@yahoo.com" enter "jbob" (without the quotes.)

Click the box labeled "Password" and type your Yahoo ID password.
Click the "Sign In" button.

Click "Inbox" to open your Yahoo mailbox.

Want my classic mail back

Yahoo! no longer provides a simple method to switch from its new Mail format back to the old "Classic Mail". But one can still access the Classic format by modifying your browser settings to disable javascript. (The new format requires javascript; and when that is not available, the option to switch back to Classic will become available.)

Here's how to disable javascript in different browsers:
* In Firefox - From the menu bar (at top), go to Tools > Options > Content, deselect the box for "Enable javascript", then click "OK"
* In Chrome - In the menu bar (at top), click on wrench icon to pull down menu, then go to Options > Under the hood > Content settings > Javascript. Select the option for "Do not allow".
* In Internet Explorer - From the menu bar (at top), go to Tools > Internet options > Advanced > Security > Custom. Scroll down to Scripting > Active scripting, select "Disable", then click "OK".

After you have disabled javascript, go to the Yahoo mail page (http://mail.yahoo.com/). You'll see an error message, advising that you need javascript for the new version, and also offering an option to access the old Classic version. That will take you back to the old format.

NOTE: Many websites utilize javascript, and disabling it in your browser will limit your ability to access those sites normally. After you have accessed the Classic version of Yahoo! Mail, be sure to re-enable javascript in your browser.

Hello, I have changed to the new yahoo mail and i don't like it. Please indicate to me how I revcert to the old version.

Recently there was an option called "Return to Original Mail!" under the "Help" menu, but now it's no longer available and there seem to be no other options other than disabling the Firefox javascript from firefox settings.
Before you login, open Firefox click "Tools" and then "Options" and select "Content", from there, click "Disable Javascript" click "Apply" or "Ok" to save the changes made and restart your Firefox. Now to to Yahoo!Mail and login, once you are signed, you'll be prompted whether you would like to go to Yahoo! Mail classic or not, or you may be asked to enable Javascript to run the page, carefully check the warnings or message and do whatever you think would open the Mail Classic, if it's related to javascript, proceed without the Javascript, this will open your mail is Classic Mail (I have mentioned two example warnings because they both will show up or one of them will definitely show up). Now you are in Yahoo! Mail Classic version, and it's been set, means you have returned to Yahoo! Mail Classic. Whenever you login through another browser eg. Internet Explorer or Google Chrome, it will remain as it is now.
Note: This method doesn't work with Internet Explorer 8 and 9 and Google Chrome.
Good Luck.
Thanks for using FixYa.

I need instructions on how to dowload videos from youtube using google chrome browser and vbox7 downloader

firstly u should open ur account on u tube,
then you can try following Bookmarklet (Javascript plugins), it will instantly get the video URL from the webpage even if it's not yet finished loading. No Website or software is needed. It's a bookmarklet(a bookmark containing JavaScript) in practice, you can also use it in FireFox, Safari or Inetnet Explorer.

span-download-youtube-video.png Install Google Chrome Plug-in: Download YouTube Video/Movie in Google Chrome Install this Javascript Plug-in is very easy, please do following steps:

  1. Make sure your Google Chrome browser always shows the Bookmarks bar. You can click menu Tools -> Always show bookmarks bar, the hotkey is Ctrl + B.
  2. Right click on the bookmarks bar, and then select Add Page.
  3. download-youtube-video-1.png

  4. In the Name field, enter "Download YouTube Video" or something you will remember, then for the URL field paste:
  5. javascript:window.location.href = 'http://youtube.com/get_video?video_id=' + swfArgs['video_id']+ "&l=" + swfArgs['l'] + "&sk=" + swfArgs['sk'] + '&fmt_map' + swfArgs['fmt_map'] + '&t=' + swfArgs['t'];Update: Nov 23, 2009: YouTube has modified the video parameters, the code above can't work now, use this:
    javascript:window.location.href = 'http://youtube.com/get_video?video_id=' + yt.getConfig("SWF_ARGS")['video_id'] + "&sk=" + yt.getConfig("SWF_ARGS")['sk'] + '&t=' + yt.getConfig("SWF_ARGS")['t'];

  6. Click OK button.
How to use Plug-in to download YouTube Video in Google Chrome Now, the Javascript plugin is installed in your Google Chrome. Go to the YouTube video you want to download, when it starts playing click your "Download YouTube Video" bookmark and you will see the .flv file start to download in Google Chrome's download status bar.

Can't print an email

  1. Open up Yahoo your Email, (either Classic or new version) click on your Inbox to view messages.
  2. Double click (or click on the subject line to open if using Yahoo email classic) the message that contains the desired message or photo you wish to print.
  3. Locate and click the "printer icon" (the picture looks like a printer) on the top of Yahoo email or go to the File menu at the top of your web browser and click "print."

If you are using Yahoo email classic, they have a selection (once you are inside of an email message) on the top--to the right of the screen that allows you to click "printable view."

A new window will open up and your entire email will appear. Click "print," which is underlined, at the top right of the screen.
  4. A dialog box will pop up and ask you to confirm, click the "OK" button on the bottom of the screen.
  5. Your entire yahoo email message should print out fully (not just the header). This is good for articles, messages and photos you wish to keep.
  6. Bear in mind that one page on the screen is not equivalent to one printed page, in fact, it may be quite a few more pages.

If you only wish to print one page: select file, print and click on the second radio button in front of "pages 1 of 1."

Or, specify 2 or 3, for example. If you know it will run into more pages.
Click the "OK" button at the bottom of the box to start printing.
You can always reprint if it doesn't print correctly.
  7. These steps will work for either Yahoo email classic or the newer version of Yahoo mail.
