Question about SanDisk Sansa e250 MP3 Player

SanDisk MP3 keeps restarting and can't get to main menu

I have had my MP3 player for about 5 months and it has been working just fine. I have just added songs to it and it seemed to transfer okay. I dropped the MP3 player from about 1.5-2 feet high and now it will not start up all the way. I get the initial SanDisk display then sansa Rhapsody display and it just loops around to the same startup again and again till I turn it off. I have tried plugging it into my computer and I get the same loop and my computer doesn't see the device. I can't believe the first time I have dropped this player it breaks. Is there any way to reset the player without plugging it into the computer to fix this problem? Is it possible some wire got loose inside where I can take the back off and fix it? Do you know if this device has a manufacture warranty?

I would recommend that you upgrade the firmware on the device..Once the firmware is update you shouldnt have any problems..To update the firmware follow the link below

These are the most common methods for recovering Sandisk's Sansa Mp3 Players. I have been almost universally successful in recovering Sansa players using one or a combination of these methods. These methods do not work if you are having synchronization or music format issues - they are for recovering a player that will not power up, freezes, flashes, is not recognized by the computer, and a host of other issues.

Reset the Sansa Player first. On most models, restart is done by holding the power button in for 15 seconds or longer. Check your specific manual to be sure. The manuals are available from the Sansa website if they have been misplaced.
Download the Sansa Recovery Tool from the Sansa website.
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Note: this method doesn't work if already have the latest firmware. Go to this website and click "Firmware Updater" to find out: http://www.sandisk.com/DriverDownload/driverList.asp
If these fail, then:
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
If you get the problem where MTP Device keeps popping up continuously, uninstall the “MTP Device” by going to Start à Control Panel àSystem à Hardware à Device Manager (you computer may vary slightly, depending on Windows Version).
You may have to restart your computer after each of these methods to get them to work properly. Disconnect your Sansa player BEFORE shutting down your computer.

M sandisk Keeps restarting


My LG TOUCH ME FM37 becomes dead when i'm updating its firmware for mp3 player from internet, suddenly breakup in my network connection and updating was unsuccesful and it stop working from that time.
Please help me.

Couldnt unfreeze my mp3 player and your advice worked now


To format the player directly, follow these steps:
1. Press the Home button to return to the Main Menu.
2. Select Settings from the Main Menu.
3. Select System Settings.
4. Scroll down to Format and select it.
5. Select Yes to start formatting.

Frozen sandisk sansa clip


Restart the computer once and try replugging the player again. If it is still a no-go, I would just double-check everything. My Sansa Clip had the same problem after working fine for a couple of months. I reset the player, which solves the freezing issue one time, but doesn't correct it permanently. I did the firmware upgrade and the Sansa Recovery Tool. Then, the computer didn't even recognize that the player was plugged in. So, I used the volume +/recovery method - disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard. I even reformatted the player inside of Windows Media Player. Nothing. I was just about to give up. Then, I restarted the computer, and the player started working as normal. I think that the Sansa Recovery tool, in particular, requires a computer restart for it to initiate correctly.
