Would you try to format your flash drive using this software which I uploaded HERE. Download and unzip the file. Then run the exe file.

Do the followings:

- First plug in your micro-sd card into you PC using USB cable.

- Run the downloaded "HPUSBFW_2.2.3_MASTER.exe" file.

- In the program menu window, select the device (your flash drive).

- Select FAT32 as file system,

- Confirm that all the format options unchecked. (Uncheck the quick format option)

- And click the "Start" button to begin formatting.

- Then restart your computer to recognize your flash drive. Or from control panel, go to Add devices menu and search your flash drive to find and add.

Hope this helps.

How to Make a Flash Drive Work in Old Windows Systems?

follow this steps
  1. Insert the flash drive into the computer. The "Found New Hardware" Wizard should appear promptly.
  1. Click "Next". No need to select a different option.
  2. After scanning the computer for the flash drive's drivers, it should say that they were not found. Next to that message, it should display the names of the missing drivers. (Drivers are files that let hardware interact with the software.)
  3. Take out the flash drive and memorize or write down the missing drivers' names. It is necessary you know what to find on another computer. The most common drivers for simple flash drives are: usbstor.sys, disk.sys, and partmgr.sys.
  4. Go to another (preferably more advanced) computer and go to "C:\Windows\system32\drivers" and locate the needed drivers. If the computer runs on a 64 bit OS, go to C:\Windows\SysWOW64\drivers. All the computer's drivers are there.
  5. Copy them to a CD, email them, or find any other means of transferring the drivers to the older computer. Then copy them to an easily accessible folder. We'll use C:\My Documents\Drivers.
  6. Reconnect your flash drive. Again, the wizard will appear.
  7. Choose "Install from a list or specific location", then click "Next".
  8. It will ask for the location of the driver. Simply do what it says. (C:\My Documents\Drivers.)
  9. The flash drive should be functioning now. If not, go to your flash drive manufacturer's website for more information or try to find the drivers online.

Trying to use an old computer using Windows 95 as a storage device for photos. When inserting photo disc into drive the following message pops up: D: forward slash is not accessible. The device is not...

Well, the "D:/" means your cd drive isn't reading or recognising your photo cd's. It's possible that if you've a very elderly computer, that the cd drive is also pretty ancient and can't handle writeable or rewriteable cd's ..only commercially produced ones. This is quite common with old cd drives. Hope this helps you understand the message, though no help in resolving it! Regards, Nicam49

I always have a problem to download the yahoo messenger because my compute are to old what i have to do

If that will be the case, the best suggestion is for you to use a flash drive.

The flash drive is a small removable gadget that you may use to store files in it. It acts as a memory card that you can attached to any computer you like and save files to it.

Go on any computer shop or use any of your friend's computer and download the yahoo messenger on the flash drive. After that insert the flash drive to any usb socket on your computer and start accessing it. The removable flash drive usually prompt on your windows as drive (F:) removable device. Double click the yahoo messenger installer file to start installing.

How do I use USB 2 Flash Drive -EZCool

If you running xp or vista
Plug drive into usb, it will be recognised in one minute or so.
Probably a window will pop up asking you what to do , in this case chose open folder to view file.
To access the drive at any time you can go to my computer, it will be listed as an additional drive called 'removable drive' or with the name given by factory.

If you are using windows 98 or ME you will need to run disk first

Error - Kernel32.dll

Microsoft defines Kernel32 errors as follows: "The Kernel32.dll file is a 32-bit dynamic link library file that is found in Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows Millenium Edition (Me). The Kernel32.dll file handles memory management, input/output operations, and interrupts. When you start Windows, Kernel32.dll is loaded into a protected memory space so that other programs do not take over that memory space. On occasion, you may receive an invalid page fault (IPF) error message. This error message occurs when a program tries to access the Kernel32.dll protected memory space. Occasionally, the error message is caused by one particular program, and other times the error message is provoked by multiple files and programs."
