When camera is selected to operate in auto mode it measures light in the over all frame and put an average aperture (ie the f-numbers 3.5, 5.6, 8 like that, bigger the number lower the light goes through the lens) but that average f-num would not be sufficient or over at certain conditions.Like
A small cat on a large white background.
A small yellow rose on a large black background
In that situation a compensation is required
Or if your camera slightly under or over exposes in auto mode you can correct up to + or -2 steps (50% per step)
Totally you can over ride the camera control over 200% low or high lighting.

There are adapters available to fit the old Minolta manual-focus lenses on Sony alpha-series dSLRs as well as Sony NEX-series interchangeable lens cameras. The lenses obviously will not autofocus and, depending on the lens and camera body, you may lose some or all exposure metering capability.

I cant find the correct size film for this camera i bought it at a yard sale

The Konica Minolta Maxxum QTsi is a nice SLR camera that can accept a wide range of 35mm films. You can buy 35mm films from Kodak, Fujifilm and many other companies.

Can u use the lenses of minolta slr camera with any other digital camera body today and if yes then models may be suggested

If you have manual focus Minolta lenses, then they are not usable on anything other than other manual focus M35mm Minolta SLR's.

If they have the Minolta autofocus mount then they will physically fit onto any of the current range of Sony Alpha SLR's and also the discontinued Konica Minolta digital SLR's, but there will be some issues:-
  • there will be a 1.5x magnification factor due to picture cropping caused by the digital image sensor being smaller than a 35mm film frame. As an example, a 70-200mm zoom lens will produce an image equivalent to that of a 105-300mm lens if mounted on a 35mm camera. Lens apertures are not affected by the 1.5 crop factor.
  • Earlier Minolta AF lenses relied on the camera body providing the autofocus motor. Later Konica-Minolta and Sony models lack this motor so the lens can only be used in manual focus mode.
  • If you have a later SSM (SuperSonic Motor) equipped lens and want to use it on an Minolta Alpha/Maxxum/Dynax 9 (different model names in different countries), the camera needs a complete additional circuit board which is no longer available.
  • Later Sony Alpha SLR's have far greater electronic communication with the lenses used. Many Minolta lenses will not be compatible and as Sony don't support legacy products there is no fix.
In short, Minolta MD lenses (manual focus) can't practically be used on any modern digital cameras, and Minolta Alpha (autofocus) lenses will physically fit onto a Sony Alpha digital SLR, but will act as if magnified and may not autofocus or work at all on a Sony SLR. But there's no harm in trying.

Sorry there is no absolutely definitive answer for you, but I hope that you now understand why and that you take a moment to rate my reply.

75-250mm F3.8-4.5 tamron lens compatible to a

As long as you can get the correct Tamron Adaptall 2 mounting for it, then it will fit. They're no longer made and not always easy to obtain at reasonable prices.

Adaptall 2 mounts for Minolta autofocus were never made, but the earlier MD mounts were, and they will fit any Minolta or Sony SLR. Obviously, there will be no autofocus but you will also find that you have to focus with the aperture ring wide open and then manually meter and take the shot after you have selected the aperture which you require.

How to open filnm compartment of old 35mm nikon

Is it an SLR model?

I am not familiar with Nikons; however, Minolta and Canon SLR film camera's film compartments are opened by lifting up on the film rewind mechanism on the top left side of the camera.

If the Nikons are designed like Minolta and Canon, there will be a small tab to push in at the bottom of the camera. This releases the film and allows it to be rewound. At the top left will be a small rewind lever that is used to do the rewind. The part of the camera that the rewind lever is attached to is pulled up to open the back of the camera.

Light meter stopped working and shutter stopped firing

about the only thing you can do other than take or send your camera to a repair shop is to remove the batteries and clean the cap and contacts with a pencil eraser be careful not to damage the contact. also move the on/off switch and select knob back and forth a few times to clean the contacts. i would get a repair estimate first as there are no new parts available for this camera.

Shutter stopped working

If the metering lights go out when you press the shutter release fully down, then the camera needs the shutter capacitors replaced. If they stay on, it could be the release magnets on the shutter unit itself, or worse.
