Question about ASUS Essentio Desktop with Intel Core 2 Quad Processor

Asus CM5570 Powers on 20sec/off 5sec/on to stay, no video or POST

I have an Asus CM5570-AP003. It will power up, then shuts down after 20 seconds, then it will power up again and stay on. I started the PC with just the Motherboard and power supply and it gives me the same issue, on 20seconds then off 5 seconds then back on to stay. I don't get any Beeps either and everything is connected correctly. Even with everything disconnected it won't beep and tell me it has no ram, HD etc. I have tried contacting Asus, but seems they lost all interest in their own company to deal with issues. Seems they just sell **** and then avoid you when you need a warranty replacement. This is longer than 90 days to return it to the store I purchased it from and getting a working one.
I have tried a different HD, CD drive, RAM. Cleaned out the heatsinks (which had no dust anyways).

I don't get a bios screen or any screen image for that matter. When I first was trying to reformat the PC it went to 3% and then started showing some strange things all over the screen. Thought it was going to just need a PCI video card but after 1 hour it still did not move off 3%. I have never gotten it back to this state again though.

I have a feeling the Motherboard fried like my other Asus motherboard, but can't seem to get Asus to uphold their warranty. This does not seem right as my other board would not even get power, but this one gets power and turns on.

Any suggestions how I can further try to troubleshoot this would help. Its def not a normal thing I run into and I am usually the one fixing PCs

You have done a wonderful job describing the issue and trouble shooting. If you do not get a BIOS screen you definitely have a motherboard fault. Let me confirm that you took all the memory out and nothing changed? No beeps or anything? If you get beeps then you might have some bad memory.

i'd pull the ram out and see if it stays on w/one stick at a time, also make sure your fan is functioning, because that will also prevent it from staying on

Check cable. It's not communicating with PC video card. It should pick up the input port, but make sure on monitor. You can try re-seating video card. Also test with VGA if you are using HD like HDMI.

System runs from about 3 to 15 secs then shuts down. That doesn't give me enough time to do anything in the BIOS setup when pressing F2. Then the system refuses to start (by pressing the power button)...

Just to make sure thatnothing else is causing the problem, remove any PCI cards like modem, videocard, sound card, etc... Remove the memory modules and disconnect cables toCD/DVD drives. Look at the USB ports to see if any are damaged. The computer should stay on even without an operating system or hard drive installed.

Locks up when loading a game

locks up usually means a corrupt file. GO into safe mode

1. hold power button down til powers off then hold again to power on continue to hold 5sec will hear a beep 5sec again another and it will power down.

hold it again 5sec hear 1 beep then about 2-4sec later 2 quick beeps let go of it. You will be asked to plug your controller in.

from the options in safe mood click the restore system files option it will tell you your hard drive is corrupt just click okay it will do its thing restart and you should be good to go.

Projection TV keeps shutting down

Good Day;

Sounds like you have a bad green picture tube that has failed. To check this out; remove front speaker grill, remove small panel, you will see three CRT's (pictue tubes) sticking down, remove the little board on the middle tube then restore power. If TV stays on more then likely the CRT is bad but not always the driver on board could also be bad, check voltages.

Good Luck, big IRISH.
