The heater is sooted inside causing the sensor to read over heat making it cycle. make sure you have proper gas supply and the tank has at least 25 percent at a all times. pentair will tell you not to use a flexible hose from between the unit and the gas valve on the supply. quite frankly I have run across this more than enough times and i feel it is a engineering issue. but you have got what you have got. get american home shield warranty on your home and then turn it over to them hopefully you will be able to get a tech out that will report complete malfunction and get a replacement. this heater is the origional design of the starite max e therm heater which in my opinion is the best heater ever produced . when pentair took over sta rite they resdesigned the outside and claim it is the same heater except for the outer jacket. and I agree its jus that the max e therm was completely engineered every inch including the housing i believe that when pentair changed the outside making the body square rahter than round (like r2d2) that is all they did was change the housing and did not do any kind of reseacrch as to how that outside shell effects the operation of the heater itself. replace it with a max e therm. you should have a two year warranty. Im telling you get american home shield and keep calling them til they replace it. their coverage is normal wear and tear. otherwise let it melt down and call your insurance comapany

I have a Hampton Bay air conditioner model # HBLG 1800H. The unit is about 4 years old now. Here lately when I turn the unit on low cool it starts cooling the room and then the compressor shuts off which I...

Sounds like a bad thermal overload which opens when the compresssor gets too hot. After the compressor cools down it closes and does not re-open unyil the compressor gets hot again. Check your wiring diagram if you have one and look for a symbol like two question marks on top of one another or the letters O/L. That seems to be what is occurring here.

Window unit (110) cools for a few minutes then stops cooling just fan air unit is about 6 0r 7 years old

It sounds like your compresssor is shutting off on an overload. After the overload cools down the compressor comes back on until the overload heats up and shuts the compressor off again. The fan keeps running as it is not on the same circuit as your compressor.

A/C starts up/Cools/Fan Slows, Unit Shuts down in 4 minutes

Ensure proper voltage to the unit. Check for overheated/damaged wires and/or connections in the control panel as well as at the fan motor and compressor.

The unit will turn on and run fine for a few minutes then shut off. It won't immediately turn back on, almost as if it hans to cool back down first. Any ideas i have a lennox furnace

The ignitor will light, the blower will start up and run for a few minutes and then the system will shut down, and the blower will continue to run and cool down. The ignitor is not working properly, the ignitor has carbon build-up and need to be removed, cleaned all the black carbon from the ignitor with a little piece of sand paper and replaced, turn the heat back on and this should correct the problem.

I have an AP450Z unit, it is 2 years old. When I switch the unit to cool it runs for a couple minutes then the entire unit shuts down. I can run the fan with no problem.

you must check the condenser fan make sure its running if ok then clean the condenser itself. take a water hose to the fins and clean them from front to back with the power off to a/c unit

WHIRLPOOL NO-FROST REFRIG/FREEZR MODEL-EHT201ZKWR5

looks like operating normally...

the fridge as it reaches it's temperature shuts the compressor off and then after a few minutes..the fridge would increase temperature again and would turn back the compressor again.

its the thermostat which is cutting on and off the compressor.

and i think it is normal. based on the temperatures that you indicated..it is cooling very well..0 F in the freezer and 40 in the refrigerator... that's good.

Cooling

Check if the condensar ( outside fan unit) is getting enough free ventilation. IF there is no free air flow you will mostlikely be triping the unit due to short cycling. Ie the unit is pulling its own discherge air causing the compressor to trip due to high back pressure
