Hi, my problem is: SOmetimes, my monitor have bad color, it doesent looks like usualy, it looks bad, the color is different, bad, it appears in a grey fundal, transparency, i donw know what is the problem,...

Check the video connection cable. Unplug it from monitor and computer, and fix it again, completely screwing it. When there is poor color, try to move/slowly pull the cable on both sides. The best solution to try is to install a completely new video cable.
Hope it helps. Dan

E machine monitor turns itself off and on

The same thing happened to me today. I was just sitting in my room then i hear a click and the cpu is on it stays on for a while then cuts off. It then cuts on and off with few seconds in between. It then stays in that way cutting and off for about a minite or two and then cuts off completely. A few minutes later it starts again. Also in the time it its off it will not turn on by pressing the power button. Sometimes it completly boots up by itself and then shuts itself down. If I shut it down manually while its on it'll turn itself on immeditaly after. What's going on! Will the warranty cover it? Do I need a new computer?

My dell lcd monitor will not stay on

If the problem related to wrong PC (video adapter) settings, during boot-up, right after BIOS started, press F8 button to call OS startup menu, choose there 'VGA Mode', then OS will be loaded with basic VGA settings (640x480 250 colors), so you will be able to set other display settings, proper for your monitor.
But all that, of course, won't be possible if the monitor itself shuts down, that would be completely different story.
Confirm what exactly is wrong, Display Settings or the monitor itself?

How do i get out of hibernate mode and get into standby

To get the computer back up again and out of hibernation you should just hold the power button down until it shuts off completely. Some laptops won’t shut off even if you do this. When this happens you have to take the battery out to get it to turn off. Make sure it is not plugged into the wall when you do this otherwise it wont work.

Also the following may be of interest.
You must be logged on as an administrator or member of either the Administrators or Power Users group in order to successfully complete this procedure. If your computer is connected to a network, the forced network policy settings may prevent you from completing this procedure. In this case please consult your Network Administrator.
  1. Click Start, then Control Panel, and then double-click Power Options.
  2. Click the Hibernate tab, and then select the Enable hibernate support check box.
If the Hibernate tab is not available, your computer does not support this feature.
  3. Click OK to close the Power Options dialog box.
  4. Click Start, and then click Shut Down then select Hibernate.
If you are using Windows XP Home Edition, or Windows XP Professional with Fast User Switching turned on, the Shut Down menu will present the options to Stand By, Turn Off, or Restart your computer. Hold down the Shift key, and the Stand By button will change to Hibernate.

Dell monitor

Who manufactured it? Better call them to check if the monitor's still under warranty. Im thinking it has to be replaced and may eventually fail completely.

Will not close down

These monitors go into a standby just incase you are only restarting the PC.
To turn it off properly, hit the power button on the monitor before Windows has completely turned the computer off.

IE: tell Windows to shutdown, when you see the blue screen telling you Windows is shutting down, turn it off then.

Hope that helps
