Where to start.....alright. I currently have a softmodded Wii console, and I recently bought third party component cables for it. The cables work fine under Standard TV resolution (480i), but when I change...

From the Wii Channels menu, click the "Wii" button on the lower left of the screen. From there choose: Wii Settings > Screen > TV Resolution. In this menu, click on the "EDTV or HDTV (480p)" option and then click "confirm".

On the sony bravia what ports and what channel of the TV should I plug the cable into for WII? I have tried pliging the wii in but don't know which ports are the right ones and what channel the TV should...

it all depends on model of sony bravia tv, the wii comes with a scart adapter that the white red and yellow phono plugs, plug into so justr use the scart socket , if you have no scart sockets plug the three leads into the composite plugs on the tv

My wii will not connect to my TV. I can hear the disc but I have no connection.

Check your A/V cables (red, white, yellow) on the back of the wii and the TV to ensure they are in the right color holes and firmly pressed into the wii. Then make sure your tv is on the right channel. If those all fail I would try another A/V cable.

Wii help

Hello :

1:Insert the AV Multi Out plug on the Wii AV Cable into the AV Multi Out connector on the back of the console.
2:

Insert the RCA plugs on the Wii AV Cable into the input connectors on the TV. Plug the colored connectors into the following inputs:

Yellow = Video Input
White = Audio Input Left (or Mono)
Red = Audio Input Right

3:Once the cables are inserted and the Wii is powered on, you must find the Input Select for your TV to view the game (it is likely not going to be seen on Channel 3 or 4). Typically this is found by pressing the TV/Video button on the Television's front panel or remote control. If you have more than one input channel, keep pressing TV/Video until you see the display from the Wii.
If you do not have a TV/Video button, then the input could be labeled something different. Some other common input selects to look for on the TV or remote are: Input, Input Select, EXT, AUX, or a channel such as 00 or 99.

I hope this will help .

I have an old emerson tv with only 2 inputs (yellow & white) and I connect to the wii, but am not sure how to have the tv recognize the wii. What channel or how to set it up. please help

If you have the original TV remote there should be a button that has Input or I Select or something similar. You need to press that button when you have the Wii turned on to find the right input it is connected to. There more than likely L1 L2 AV1 or AV2 or Front AV or something similar that your Wii is connected to. Or sometimes just going Channel Down past channel 3 will get you to one of the inputs I mentioned.

Wii

You tv needs to have av plugs. Yellow for video in Red and White for Audio in. These need to be in the "in" ports. then you can turn to the right av channed it should be before channel 2 so just keep going down. If your tv has more than one set of av in ports there will be more than one av channel below channel two.
