LG 47LH90 LED LCD TV. Signal disappear

I have a LG 47LH90 LED LCD TV. I use Comcast cable. Everything was fine at the beginning. After 4 month use, channel 2-1 (Fox) disappeared. The screen said "scramble". Then several hours later or a day later, it came back again without problem. Same situation happened to channel 7-1 (ABC). I called Comcast. Comcast said I subscribed basic cable. They won't fix digital channel for me. Then I bought an antenna. I received all the channels I need over the air. Two days later, channel 5-1 (CBS) diappeared. The screen said "No Signal". But I check the signal stregth through Menu--Channel--Manual channel search (or setup, I don't remember). It was fine; signal bar was between normal and good, about 75% to 80%. At the same time, all other channels were without problem. By the way, channel 5 is on RF channel 29 in my area. Please help!

SOURCE: TV freezes when switching to a digital channel

The problem your describing can be contributed to your cable box. Depending on your cable company there are times when the box has trouble translating the signal to the tv. You tv is operating normally. Suggest to the cable company to switch your box.

SOURCE: frozen picture on LG LCD 37"

Try One of your working TVS and connect it to your cable outlet of the TV that is having problems. If that TV Does not work then there may be a degraded fitting or the Leg coming of the splitter to that outlet could have a Low Signal Problem
Next Take the First TV that was not working properly and put it on the cable outlet of one of the TVs that is working properly and if the TV set works on that Channel then you know it is not your TV that it must be the cable

I think you need to get Sky because it will give you 100% coverage of all terrestrial channels. You may need to retune the television otherwise just get sky

What is remote code for Comcast cable universal remote?

If it is the original remote control to Comcast Cable box; there is no need set it up with a code. It might have been already set. Check the remote control for its infra-red emission. Check it with fresh batteries. Check by pressing all the buttons on it; and see whether all of it generates infrared signal while pressing. If it is found OK, check and replace the infrared sensor inside the TV. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. It has details about how to check a remote control; by one among the post. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ If the remote control is found OK; check and replace the infra-red sensor inside the TV. Contact any service technician.

Monitor dims when we turn lights off in room.

You need to give a more detailed description of the problem.
The LG 47LH90 is an LED backlit TV with 'local dimming' technology. This means that there are lots of white LEDs behind the screen and these can be controlled in groups to allow localised areas of the screen to be dimmed to produce better contrast between light and dark. It is very likely that when the room is dark, this local dimming is more noticeable. The actual individual LEDs cannot be controlled and so the area that is dimmed will generally be greater than the area that is required to be dark 'blooming effect'. In addition, LED backlit displays only maintain their contrast through a tight viewing angle. If you sit too farto the right or left, then light from non-dimmed LEDs will leak through and the screen will look lighter.
In short, there may not be any fault with your TV.

Hello,

The comcast cable will do just fine.

As long as the port is available on the television, it is compatible.

Comcast remote won't accept codes for Proscan TV

I had the same problem. I have the 40 inch Proscan and they supplied a remote control guide for comcast. It was only 4 digits and it did not work. I called Comcast and they did not know. I found it needed 5 digits so I added a 1 and it worked The code is 10178. Hope it works for you.

Comcast TV guide does not download

Have you tried powercycling your box? Checking all the connections making sure they are tight fitting? The guide should always load no matter what.

LG LCD HDTV 'NO SIGNAL'

To fix the problem, try turning off the TV and unplugging it from the outlet. Once unplugged, push the power button and hold it down for 1 minute. Then turn the TV back on and rescan for channels.

If the problem persists, contact LG customer service immediately as there is a problem with the memory card. The device is unable to retain scanned channels for immediate feedback.

All LG LCD automatically comes with a 1 year manufacturing warranty. You would have to provide proof of purchase to show when it was purchased. Hope this helps. The Guru
