Question about Samsung LE40R73BD 40 in. HD-Ready LCD Television
When i switch my tv on the red light is initially clicking on but flashes then clicks back off it continually does this and i am receiving no picture
Most of the time this problem is caused by the power supply in the set. Capacitors on the circuit board wear out. Usually the ones rated at 10 or 16 volts. You can see a physical bulge of the defective components in most cases. The way to repair this is to either replace the bad parts or the circuit board itself. If you take this to a repair shop the cost should be less than half the cost of a replacement tv or 125-295 u.s. dollars. If you have test equipment and solder/desoldering equipment you can repair it for 20 dollars or less. The only way to be sure that this is the problem is to have someone disassemble the set and check it. But this has been only a very educated guess. Good luck, Russmann.
