If you have a windows XP recovery CD, try running that at boot.

also, try pressing the f8 key to boot windows in safe mode.

it sounds like a corrupted OS install: if you can't recover, you may have to reformat your hard drive and reinstall windows.

Win xp on boot up goes to blue screen quickly then reboots

It sounds like a driver is causing the problem or a new software install, turn the PC on and when you hear the beep press the F8 key, you should get a start menu, select safe mode, if this gets you in use system restore to take it back to a date it worked.

can you get into BIOS? if YES, put u'r bootable Windows XP CD into CD-ROM, and set BIOS to boot from CD-ROM..after some process you'll be asked to choose: install new OS or to do the recovery or exit
now pick option 2.
you will taken into DOS, type 1, it will appear C:>windows\ (type chkdsk)
C:>windows\chkdsk (enter)
after that type exit
C:>windows\exit --> good luck

Windows xp boot issue

Have you got your WindowsXP CD? You could put it in the CD drive and let it boot from CD. Then select "r" (Repair Option). This will attempt to re-install your xp without losing data. (Not always possible) If you have no data on the drive that you want to keep then you could ignore the repair install and try the full re-install. you will need your motherboard drivers etc for this. It sounds like your Boot records or system files are corrupt.
