When the fridge is switched on, it makes a clicking sound by the motherboard. The fan does not roll.

Your condenser fan may have gone bad near the compressor and the pressures got too high on the compressor due to lack of cooling from the condenser fan not cooling the condenser core, check this fan motor and make sure its running and if so,then try replacing the ptc overload relay on the compressor as it may have gone out also

Hello,It's either the start device on the compressor or you have a bad compressor. You'll have to pull it away from the wall and take the bottom back panel off to check the compressor. It will likely be real hot to the touch from what you described happening. If there is a little white colored box on the left side take that off and remove the wires, etc. and shake it... if it rattles and debris falls out then that's the problem. It's fairly common and they make a kit to replace it with a better designed part that's real easy to install yourself.
wish you good luck,

take care.

Thank you, ihave removed the back panel. There is no white colored box, and the compressor is cool, though i switched the firdge off since it was not working. However, i noticed that the fan was not rolling at all when switched on.

Outside unit will only run for a short amount of time with A/C before the fan stops turning and starts humming, squealing/screeching and the top of the outside unit gets hot.

The bearings are bad in the motor and after the fan runs enough it eventually gets hot, making the bearing screech and the fan locks up. Need to replace motor again. See if it has a warranty. The reason it gets hot is because the fan is what removes the heat from the coil and if the fan isn't running there is nothing to cool it off so to speak.

I have a maytag dryer that sometimes when I hit the start button will start and run for only a few minutes and stop and wont start again for a while and does a humming noise when it does star why?

Sounds like the motor is going into thermal overload (Getting hot) it may be caused by the motor itself, or could be overloaded by bearings or fan etc

Both the refrigerator and freezer are set to the recommended temperature, however, the refrig unit is making a loud humming sound. This sound stops when you open the door, but begins again when it is...

There is a fan that blows cold air into the refrigerator. It usually stops when the door is opened. Check to see if it might be frozen with ice if the humming sounds abnormally loud. Usually if it freezes up you cannot hear the fan running and the refrigerator will not get cold enough.

My window airconditoner wants to start, no sound from motor

Take the front cover off..
The fan inside there is a barrel fan..
Looks knida like a hamster wheel..
Spin it by hand while it is on..
If it works - great..
If it spins and slows to a stop - try again..
If no - the fan is bad..

Rate well ;o)

Dishwasher starts to fill then just hums

Sounds like a motor problem. Behind the chopper is an access to the impeller, try turning the impeller or the chopper blade and see if the motor will rotate. If it doesn't, then something is stuck preventing the motor from running.

Loud humming noise as fridge is running

Sounds like the freezer fan is rubbing some wires or possible some foam insulation around the fan. I would look into the freezer compartment fan and go from there. The fan Will Shut off when you open the doors. Let me know how you make out and if you need anymore help.

Thanks,
Bill

about the only thing you can do here is take the back cover off the unit see if the cooling fan for the compressor is running if it is and there is an Indian on the compressor then the compressor should be replaced if the fan isn't running then clear the fan once its running then turn the unit off for 30 Min's and try again
