Question about SanDisk Cruzer Micro 4GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive

1 Answer

Error message states that there is not enough room

I'm getting an error message that states that there is not enough room to add files to my flash drive when there is clearly ample room available. 1.86 GB capacity and 1.82 GB available. Only 44 MB are being used. Yet it keep insisting there is not enough room available. What gives?

One possibility: you have too many files in the directory. USB flash drives are usually formatted in FAT32 and thus stuck with the limits of the standard. Try moving some of your files into folders.

Second check for a encrypted partition locking part of the disc. If ReadyBoost capable a section of the memory set aside to do ReadyBoost for Windows Vista or Win7 (you'll need to release the ReadyBoost on the computer that dedicated the space).

I hope this helps.

Disk full (Error 61) loadTOCNode(2, 'moreinformation'); Possible causes for this error are:

  • There is not enough room on the disk for the completion of a Print #, Write #, or Close operation.
  • There is not enough room on the disk to create required files.
To work around this situation, move some files to another disk, or delete some files.

try uninstalling a few unnecessary programs to regain some disk space

I get the error message when i try to create media recovery for my laptop toshiba l505. the error messsage is "no HDD recovery area", "the toshiba recovery media creator cannot be...

I am glad to HELP YOU!

When you start to create the RECOVERY MEDIA your machine is creating a virtual file [a temporary one...] that includes all parameters and drivers and system files of your operating system; once the temporary file is done the recovery files are written on the indicated media [a hard drive or a DVD/CD].
Because of the huge size of the file [the temporary one] you need enough room for the virtual file to be created.
So you got your error message just because you DON'T HAVE ENOUGH ROOM on your hard drive.
My suggestion is: find an external drive [a USB attached hard drive] and make the RECOVERY MEDIA there. Meanwhile try to clean up a little bit your hard drive by using that application in Windows called DISK CLEANER [START > ALL PROGRAMS > ACCESSORIES > DISK TOOLS > DISK CLEANER].

My best regards!

Can't load Map update on TomTom XL 330S

You'll have to remove enough stuff to make room for the new map. I had the same problem which is how I found this site. Turns out, the new map is larger than the one that came on the unit. The 1 GB of available space is pretty much all used when you get the GPS. Just copy all the voices and POIs that you aren't planning on using to your computer in case you change your mind later (you can just download them again for free too). As for the voices, only one works for text-to-speech anyway and that would be Samantha though a male voice is available for download.

You'll need to clear just under 4 MB to make room for the new map, and that's if you haven't added anything. Having the drive/memory on this unit just larger than the map makes it very difficult to get much use out of TomTom's great add-ons.

Disk full message

Do a bit of arithmetic - go to each folder right click, then click on properties and take note of the size of each folder. What does that add up to? Any unusually large files? Has it been partitioned at all?

Error - Kernel32.dll

Microsoft defines Kernel32 errors as follows: "The Kernel32.dll file is a 32-bit dynamic link library file that is found in Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows Millenium Edition (Me). The Kernel32.dll file handles memory management, input/output operations, and interrupts. When you start Windows, Kernel32.dll is loaded into a protected memory space so that other programs do not take over that memory space. On occasion, you may receive an invalid page fault (IPF) error message. This error message occurs when a program tries to access the Kernel32.dll protected memory space. Occasionally, the error message is caused by one particular program, and other times the error message is provoked by multiple files and programs."
