This is a tough one to answer because many things can happen to result in a no cool. It is either electrical in nature like capacitor not starting the compressor, compressor seized etc. Or it can be a loss of refrigerant. Unfortunately with so many options, it needs to have a set of refrigerant gages put on to see if the compressor is pumping or not.

Output temperature

Air conditioners will cool 16-20 degrees. So if the house is 80 degrees, 63 degrees is a good output. If the house is 72, the air will be colder. The higher the humidity, the lower the temperature drop will be because the A/C has 2 jobs, to cool and de-humidify. So if the house is humid, the drop will be lower.

Air Conditioners Cooling Tips

  • Whole-house fans help cool your home by pulling cool air through the house and exhausting warm air through the attic.
  • Set your thermostat as high as comfortably possible in the summer. The smaller the difference between the indoor and outdoor temperatures, the lower your overall cooling bill will be.
  • Avoid setting your thermostat at a colder setting than normal when you turn on your air conditioner. It will not cool your home any faster and could result in excessive cooling and, therefore, unnecessary expense.
  • Consider using an interior fan in conjunction with your window air conditioner to spread the cooled air more effectively through your home without greatly increasing your power use.
  • Avoid placing lamps or TV sets near your air-conditioning thermostat. The thermostat senses heat from these appliances, which can cause the air conditioner to run longer than necessary.
  • Plant trees or shrubs to shade air conditioning units but not to block the airflow. Place your room air conditioner on the north side of the house. A unit operating in the shade uses as much as 10% less electricity than the same one operating in the sun.

My panasonic air conditioner does not turn off when cooling

At what temperature is the thermostat?
The temperature should never be lower than 70?F (21?C) for the unit to operate properly. If your temperature setting is above 70?F, then your unit might have a problem with the temperature sensor that controls the "on/off" cycle on your unit. For that you will need a professional certified HVAC tech to inspect it.

Most people think that lowering the temperature to the minimum will cool the room faster, but that is not the case. Since HVAC units move the air at a specific rate, it can only transfer the temperature, thus cooling/heating the air, within those parameters. That's what the calculation for the BTU is for. Normally cooling/heating the room to the desired temperature should take about 1 hour, but some new inverter units can do it in only 30 minutes or so. Lowering the temperature constantly or even keeping it at the lowest setting may cause premature failure of the unit.

Air warm, so turned conditioner off and on, eventually air became cooler

I assume you are meaning that the AC took quite awhile to lower the temperature in the house. If so the system may be low on gas. Col R

Air condition jsut 10 month old ... not keeping up whith cooling

If it's only 92° outside and the unit won't cool the house, then the unit is either to small or it's low on refrigerant. They are designed to cool a house with outdoor temperatures up to 115° to 120°.Usually you need one ton a/c for every 400 square feet of house, but, you have to take into account for average outdoor temperature and humidity, windows, doors, especially sliding glass or patio doors and which side of the house they are on, insulation in walls and attic.
The air leaving your duct work going into the rooms should be about 20° lower than the room temperature, if you have a 80° room then the air leaving the duct should be around 60°. if it is then the unit is probably to small if, everything is working properly.

Wall ac unit keeps freezing up inside.

No! You will not likely find any service on a product which has very little value. Frosting will sometimes happen if the outside temperature is to low. The outside ambient temperature is directly related to the pressures inside the refrigerating system. The lower the outside temperature is the lower the pressures will be in the cooling end of the air conditioner. In mechanical refrigeration pressures and temperatures are directly related.

    Room temperature goes too low

When room temperature drops lower than the set temperature on the thermostat, it usually means that the thermostat is improperly calibrated or installed where it doesn't sense a proper sampling of room air.
