Dishwasher leaking We bought our dishwasher in Sep/07, it was fine for a year, then started leaking out the bottom of the door on the left. We had the seal on the door replaced (didn't work) and then the door gasket replaced. That worked for less than a year, now it is leaking again in the same place. What could be going on? Have already put $400.00 repairs into this machine and am reluctant to put more money in to have it break again the same way. What do you suggest?

This sounds like a hinge problem to start with.

Test the seal by dragging a strip of paper through it with door closed. Probably that left hinge isn't holding door close enough which was probably the original cause. As seal dries out a bit then will leak.

At this point I would investigate the hinge possibility AND if possible a DIY fix. It may be loose mounting screws or take a little shim to hold the left corner tighter. I would not waste money for a service call.

You probably might need to release the door balance springs accessable under the toe kick area while working on the door. Possibly a hinge is bent.

You might do as they do in the auto industry when a door doesn't fit... basically put forces on it to bend it a bit. In your case it would be to distribute the load and support the door when horizontal about 6 inches out from the left hinge and then bend the end of the door down to bend the hinge mounts slightly..

Then check the seal clearance with the strip of paper as you do with a refigerator seal by cloosing on a strip of paper and dragging the strip to see if it is gripped.

Our Hotpoint Aquarius Dishwasher BF11, built into the kitchen units is leaking steam from the door ( and starting to cause the wooden floor to bend ). Can I get a door seal for this model ? It's probably...

you gotta send the full model number, open the door and look at the very front of dw where the door closes into the machine, usually the tag is on the left side at 9 oclock, first are you positive that's where it's leaking remove the bottom kick panel and see if the motor or anything isn't leaking there too.if it is the door gasket it's an easy fix

My whirlpool dishwasher is leaking water from the bottom of door

Water is being forced out under the bottom door seal. Is the lower spray arm melted on the bottom? Or is there something directing the water flow toward the bottom of the tub instead of up toward the dishes?

Water leak

They are in the bottom left and right of the door opening. GE likes to use L-shaped, molded and ribbed seals on most of their models - hopefully also on yours. Typically these can be removed by hand and easily replaced without taking anything apart. Your local Sears Parts Department has them in stock for about $10 each.

My dishwasher is leaking at the bottom corners of the door

Mine is doing the same thing and I just bought it three days ago.  I call the store's tech department and they tell me the unit I bought has a service bulletin on regarding leaking at the bottom of the door.  They apparently have a repair kit for the problem.
