NTLDR is the the first file loaded in the boot sector memory. It can be altered.
You have several options: -If you have a Kiwi Linux CD insert it and boot from it and the NTLDR will be automatically fixed. -Insert the Windows CD, press R to go to console and after that insert the following: fixmbr and then press enter, fixboot and then press enter and restart your computer. -A IDE/EIDE cable is loose or faulty so you have to fix this problem- -Once in the Windows XP setup menu press the "R" key to repair Windows.

  1. Log into your Windows installation by pressing the "1" key and pressing enter.
  2. You will then be prompted for your administrator password, enter that password.
  3. Copy the below two files to the root directory of the primary hard disk. In the below example we are copying these files from the CD-ROM drive letter, which in this case is "e." This letter may be different on your computer.

    copy e:\i386\ntldr c:\
    copy e:\i386\ntdetect.com c:\
  4. Once both of these files have been successfully copied, remove the CD from the computer and reboot.
If you need further assistance, just leave a comment. Cheers

NTLDR is missing Press Ctrl Alt Del to restart

The issue is your system is not loading off of the boot drive- check for usb keys, floppies, even sometimes cds can cause the issue. If that does not work, you'll need to get your copy of windows, boot to that disk, and run a chkdsk /r in the repair option. If that does not work, you will need to reinstall Windows.
