Question about Acer Computers & Internet
Good Morning: I have an Acer Aspire 5920 notebook that the Synaptics touchpad is not working properly. I tried the Fn + F7 combination to enable it and that brought it back for a few mins and then it stopped working again. I checked the properties for the touchpad and there is nothing in the are of the discription to enable or disable. I'm not sure what happened or what the problem might be. Can anyone give me some advice? Thank you, Karen
As by your description, the FN F7 key combo did not solve the problem. Please restart the machine , press F8 then select from the list "Safe mode" then press enter. Then see how the Touch pad reacts in Safe mode. If it works perfectly in safe mode, we can assume you have a software problem that is preventing it from working in normal windows mode.
Please download and install the latest BIOS for your machine. The E525 has a issue where the TP just stops working, upgrading the BIOS solves the issue on the E525...
