Question about Toys

Open Question

I have a norinco 9mm model 213. the safety is floppy until it's placed on the safe position and then it will stay in position. when placed in the ready to fire position, it becomes floppy and sounds like something inside is loose and makes a rattling sound. also when I try to field dress it won't come apart. I slid the clip off and removed the slide release, the barrel won't slide off the frame. is it possible the two problems are connected? I don't have a manual to refer to. any help out there? please! ****

SOURCE: how do you field strip a norinco 213 tokarev 9mm?

1. To field strip the 213 remove the magazine and clear the action. The basic take down is quite similar to that of a 1911. With the action cleared turn the weapon and on it’s right side unclip the slide stop. To do this you use the base of the magazine.

2. Next push out the slide release and slide the barrel off the frame. The top end will come off in your hand.

3. Next you remove the recoil spring and recoil spring guide from the slide. Then rotate the barrel bushing 180 degrees and remove it from the slide
1234dba.jpg

4. After the barrel bushing is out the barrel assembly comes out of the slide just like a 1911. Slide the Barrel out through the "muzzle end" of the slide.

That is your basic field stripping for cleaning. I can give ya the rest if your wanting to do a FULL disassembly! However, i never recommend that unless your a gun smith. Hope this helps!

The three burner the pilot light will come on and stay untill I try to light the burners and then it will go out. the log fire place type the pilot lite will come on but then it acts like its get air ...

The fix is very simple:

12_1_2011_9_41_46_pm.jpg

12_1_2011_9_42_08_pm.jpg
This stuff will safely clear the dust and cobwebs and any other junk in there that would make the pilot think that oxygen is low in the room. The air we breathe is 21% oxygen. That pilot is set to push the flame out at 18% oxygen levels. if the pilot is dusty the flame will be extinguished by the safety mech. Rust buster safely flushes any contaminants out without harming the innards of the pilot safety. Use shop air and blow it out and get a great result also.

I have a Porter Cable biscuit jointer, model 527 and I'm an amateur woodworker, NOT a mechanic. I can't locate my owner's manual on this tool and have the smaller blade in the tool currently. ...

Model 557 is shipped with a 4" diameter blade installed. This blade is used
for all operations except for the "FF" biscuit. The "FF" biscuit requires that
the 2" blade (furnished with the tool), be installed as follows:
DISCONNECT TOOL FROM POWER SOURCE.
1. Loosen four blade cover retaining screws (A) Fig. 10, and remove blade
cover.
2. Depress and hold spindle lock button (B) Fig. 11, while rotating blade by
hand until spindle lock engages.
3. Continue to hold spindle lock button while using the 5/32" hex wrench
(furnished with tool), to remove blade retaining bolt and flange, (by
rotating counterclockwise).
4. Remove blade and store in a safe place for future use.
5. Place 2" diameter blade (furnished with tool), onto blade mounting
flange (orient with teeth facing in same direction as directional arrow
cast in housing, see Fig. 14).
6. Position blade retaining flange (flat side out), to spindle, insert blade bolt
and rotate clockwise until hand-tight.
7. Depress and hold spindle lock button (B) Fig. 11, while rotating blade by
hand until spindle lock engages.

8. Continue to hold spindle lock button while using the hex wrench
(furnished with tool), to tighten blade retaining bolt securely, (by rotating
clockwise).
9. Rotate the "quick set" depth adjusting turret (A) Fig. 12, to the "FF"
position.
10. Lift safety lever (A) Fig. 13, fully retract the plunge mechanism, and
reposition the safety lever as shown in Fig. 14. Slowly release pressure
on plunge mechanism.
11. Reposition blade cover plate to tool, and secure in place with the four
retaining screws (removed in step 1).
DO NOT OPERATE TOOL WITHOUT BLADE COVER INSTALLED

My Bowman treadmill 7 series stopped working. It just shows 2 words: safe out. Please help.

Make sure the magnetic safety key ('safety pull' or 'emergency stop magnet') is in place. SAFE OUT indicates that the safety key is not in position or is otherwise not working properly.

How to replace neutral saftey switch on a 1980 cadillac deville?

Use like reference guide for GM Cadillac 1967-1989 Repair Guide Neutral Safety Switch - REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

All Except 1985-89 Eldorado and Seville
See Figure 1
The neutral safety switch prevents the engine from being started in any transmission position except Neutral or Park. The switch is located on the upper side of the steering column under the instrument panel on column shift cars, and inside the shift console on floor shift models.
  1. Remove the console for access on floor shift models.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  3. Remove the neutral switch.

To install:
  1. Place 1967-70 column shift lever models in Drive, and 1971 and later models in neutral. Locate the lever tang against the transmission selector plate on column shift models.
  2. Align the slot in the contact support with the hole in the switch. Insert a 3 / 32 in. (2.38mm) diameter pin in place. The switch is now aligned in Drive position.

1973 and later neutral safety switches have a shear-pin installed to aid in proper switch alignment so that insertion of a pin is unnecessary. Moving the shift lever from Neutral shears the pin.
  1. Place the contact support drive slot over the drive tang. Install the switch mounting screws.
  2. Remove the aligning pin. Connect the electrical wiring, and replace the console.
  3. Set the parking brake and hold your foot on the service brake pedal. Check to see that the engine will start only in Park or Neutral.
7b3f2a9.jpg

Fig. 1: Installation of a common neutral safety switch

ADJUSTMENT
See Figure 2
1974 and later cars do not have a neutral safety switch. Instead, these cars have an interlock between the lock and the transmission selector, which is non-adjustable.
  1. Place the shift lever in Neutral.
  2. Move the switch until you can insert a gauge pin, 3 / 32 in. (2.38mm) diameter, into the hole in the switch and through to the alignment hole.
  3. Loosen the switch securing screws. Remove the console first, if necessary.
  4. Tighten the screws and remove the pin.
  5. Step on the brake pedal and check to see that the engine will only start in Neutral or Park.
05843d3.jpg

Fig. 2: Adjustment of a common neutral safety switch

1985-89 Eldorado and Seville
See Figure 3

All neutral safety/back-up light switches come with a small plastic alignment pin installed. Leave this pin in place.
  1. Place the shifter assembly in the Neutral position.
  2. Remove the shifter lever-to-switch nut and the lever.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the neutral safety/back-up light switch.
  4. Remove the neutral safety/back-up light switch-to-transaxle bolts and the switch from the vehicle.

To install:
  1. Position the shifter shaft in the Neutral position.

If using an old switch or the plastic pin (new switch) is broken, install a3/32in. (2.38mm) diameter pin gauge (drill bit) into the neutral safety/back-up light switch; the switch is then locked into its Neutral position.
  1. Align the flats of the shifter shaft and the neutral safety/back-up light, then, align the switch-to-tang on the transaxle. Torque the switch-to-transaxle bolts to 22 ft. lbs. (30 Nm). Remove the pin gauge.
  2. To complete installation, reverse the removal procedures. Make sure that the engine starts only in the Park and Neutral positions.
