Question about Nokia 2126 Cellular Phone
I redeemed an airtime card for tracfone on their website and after adding the time my phone didn't update so I turned it off waited a little bit and turned it back on. It went to start then vibrated and beeped It does this every 4 or 5 seconds until I remove the battery which is the only way to get it to stop. I called tracfone and they said the phone is no good. I believe something happened to it during the update and I know this has happened to others. Any ideas about this?
Same problem. Working off of Reijose's suggestion (thanks) I had the charging plug in the wall and the phone. That at least stopped the buzzing. Then I started working combos of buttons, turning the phone off and on etc and finally it came back to life. Can't say it was any one combo, but I did press 666 and clear or stop enough times that I might have finally exorcised the demons of of this thing.
Serriously that was the combo of buttons I used, through just by chance more than anything, ha.

I just had this problem, and I got it to work again by pushing the power button a bunch and at the same time putting the charging plug in and out quickly (while it was plugged into the wall). I just kept messing with these two things at the same time and it magically came on! I have no idea why this worked!!!??? hope you can get yours to work. best of luck!

THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH!!! Pressing the red and green keys after hitting the power button worked for me also. I had just added 120 minutes, not by the internet though, on the phone itself and when I turned it off it would not turn back on. I was almost in tears.

Same problem, phone working fine, added minutes online and phone died. Would flash white screen and buzz/beep every 10 seconds. Called Tracfone, they said get a new phone. Did what was suggested by several people above, popped battery in and out, held down start key and pushed buttons and all of a sudden it started working again. Red and green buttons didn't work, was some combination of numbers that finally fixed it. Thanks :) :)

Same problem as the others. This phone would turn on long enough to show the TracFone splash screen, play the intro notes and show the battery meter. Then it would go black.
A white screen would show for a while if you pushed a few buttons.
To get it working...I took my que from jahcdale's post, where he held the red and green buttons while he turned on the phone. That didn't work for me, but this did ... I left the battery cover off so I could take the battery out quickly in between attempts. I can't say which buttons worked the magic but I held two or more buttons down and turned the phone on. If it didn't work I popped the battery out then back in and tried again. Took about fifteen minutes of that kind of foolishness but it did come back to life. I was holding * and #, then # and red, * and green...whatever...you get the idea...just keep abusing the start up sequence till it un-hickups and comes back to life;-)

I hate tracfone! it's always a hassle to add minutes. I had this exact problem after adding minutes, and followed the on and off/removing battery pushing random buttons till it came back to life. I'm sorry i can't be more specific, I just kept with the on/off and battery in and out while pushing random buttons, sometimes two at a time, sometimes in sequence...I also screwed up and called that *22891 number to 'optimize' network capabilities...that's what kills them. tracfone wants these 2126's dead because often they give you free (no minutes deducted) texting. I don't know why, but mine used to fail to deduct the half minute when i sent or received texts... it would say '.5 units deducted', but my minutes would not decrease...anyway now that glitch is fixed...never call the optimize your network number. there's a utube post about this glitch, and it's not fake

An update would make it not turn on. It mat not be able to make calls but would still power up. I say it just took that time to die.
