The video input from a DVD works alright . Once we connect VGA cable from PC , the problem repeats.. i will try with s video cable from laptop and update in a few mins

How do we correct the problem with VGA input side in the projector ? is it the problem with the VGA connector in the projector or some circuitry on the board ? how do we find out about this ?? Thanks for your guidance

    hello
with S video cable connected from same laptop to projector, the colours are normal and projector works alright

after this step , removing the s video cable and connecting vga cable to the projector, the problem of only yellow with green color appearance comes back as was the original problem.

we have changed vga cable and still problem is same .. same vga cable in a different projector works alright..
Hence problem is with this infocus LP 640 projector only and in the VGA signal section only ..

can you please help me find out what could have gone wrong and how to correct this ??

    Thanks

Hey there

when you get the other cable, your problem will be solved. with regards to clarity and blurryness, all of that is on the projectors adjustment.

TRY to check for the pins of the cable or where you insert the cable. as you explain after using another projector, the problem may lie on the pins, however, if you get another calbe which is new and the problem is still there, you shopuld have it check or call there customer support.

thanks for using fixya

    ok,,

even using a new cable , you still get the same kind of issue right? so in the process of termination... we could say that if the cables are fine... it might be the pins.. if the pins are fine , it must be the outlet behind the projector...if the projector is fine, then it might be video adapter for the cpu itself...

it may be troublesome to find what is the exact fault... but we can assume that it maight be because fo the drivers to because we are using an old model projector.

    hope this helps too.,...

Required computer connections
Connect the black end of the computer cable to the Computer 1 connector
on the projector. Connect the blue end to the video port on your computer. If
you are using a desktop computer, you first need to disconnect the monitor
cable from the computer’s video port.
Some Macintosh computers do not have a standard VESA-out video port.
If the supplied computer cable will not connect to your computer, purchase
the appropriate adapter from your Apple reseller.

Are you useing SVIDEO out from your pcs video card to connect the image to the projector?

have you set your pc to send video out correctly?
It seems your pc is not sending correct video / settings wrong.

Or then there is a problem with the projector. Try a difrent input?

Why is my image red tinted on my LP 640 Infocus projector?

could be a bad cable which is the cheapest to try. wiggle the wire at the back of the plug while viewing the picture and see if it changes at all. if it does, the cable is bad. if not, then you probably have a bad lcd cable/connection or a burnt polarizer.

PS3 to Infocus LP 350 projector using HDMI

Hi,

M1-DA is a type of DVI connection that produces both analogue and digital signals, the easiest and most quality source cable for you to get is a HDMI to M1-DA cable which is now widely available for purchase.

Infocus should have included this cable in with your projector, but instead the power at bee decided to put a M1-DA to DVI-D cable instead when most visual devices now support HDMI and not DVI nowadays.

Thanks

your colorwheel is going bad. needs replacment. find an infocus service center and purchase part # 525-0144-00. shouldn't be more than $50, but replacement is pretty involed. you need to remove the top case, front and back covers, power boards, plate, lamp house assembly, and fans just to get to where the colorwheel is plugged in to the main board. removal of the actual colorwheel is only 3 screws.

first try another computer cable. if same results, press the "auto image" button on the projector. if that doesn't work, press menu, select settings, then factory reset, and "yes". if you still have the same problem, the eca (main board) is bad.
