No picture on my TV/vcr combo when playing VHS tape.

I suspect either the playback head is very dirty and needs cleaning, or it's malfunctioning and needs to be replaced.

I hav a magnavox mwc24t5 triple combo. When I put a vhs tape in it spits it out. Sometimes it gets stuck in there and I have a time trying to get it out.

Please check your VHS tape's CONDITION. See if U can play it on another VHS. BE CAREFUL. sounds like a damaged VHS. You might need to take that to the shop. Better to have it checked than damage your materials. Had a similar situation with a DVD/VHS. Finally, the VHS got stuck inside. Thankfully the shop fixed it but my VHS never worked again properly.

I have PANASONIC TV \ VHS the vhs plays for about 2min then stops. How can I fix it? PLEASE

The tape player has bad belts or a bad rubber drive wheel that drives it in play---no magic here--someone has to open and replace bad parts in the transport mechanism--which moves the tape.

If you can get a tape in hit fast forward and see if that works--sometimes if not used for a long time ff and then rewind a few times will bring it back to life for a short time.

I have an Emerson DVD VHS combo and when ever I Play a tape I have sound but no picture but If I rewind the movie I can see the picture but when I push play it goes back to a snowy screen How do I fix...

The loss of picture in playback mode is due to a dirty video head or heads. You might be able to solve this problem with a simple head cleaning tape. if not, the video heads will need cleaning manually.
This should me performed by a TV technician as there are some dangerous voltages inside.
if you choose to do the repair yourself, you need to disassemble the unit to reveal the VHS player itself. Inside there is a round shiny video head. This part is at a slight angle and should be. Dont try to adjust it. Take a piece of paper, saturate it with alchahol or acetone and place the paper flat against the side of the video heads. Spin the heads in counterclockwise direction only paying close attention to the small slots near the seam of the two heads, upper and lower cylinder. Carefully wipe clean with cotton swab and let dry a while before using the unit.

We were just watching a vhs movie on our tv/vcr combo unit and the picture went to fuzz however, the sound was still working. any suggestions or are we in need of a new unit.

Some VHS have a tracking button that allows the user to tune to the best signal. Usually that tracking function is used as follows.
While movie is playing on the VHS unit and signal gets fuzzy, press the channel key repeatedly (for example >> to increase the channel number). f after awhile pressing the same channel change button does not find a better picture, you should press the other channel change button (to decrease the channel number <<) to see if the picture improves.

If that does not work, IT DOES NOT MEAN that you tv/vcr combo unit is defective. It could just be the movie. The tape is magnetic and it might have been accidentally demagnetized.

If picture is better with another movie/tape, your unit is definitely OK.

VHS problem, any help?

It sounds to me like you have a problem with the reel sensors not detecting movement of the tape through the VCR. This could also be caused by a defective voltage regulator(s) that powers the sensors. This model was made by symphonic/funai (1-800-242-7158), and it is not likely worth repairing.

VCR plays for a few seconds and rewinds. Now, the VCR plays tape in fast forward mode

Most everyone I know had problems with the tv/vcr combo including myself. I'll never buy one again. I'm sorry you are having the same problem.

since it fast forwards, and rewinds, my first guess (that the take-up mechanism is worn, which also causes the machine to "eat tapes" after it stops) not likely..... the other common problem is misaligned sensors (especially if you recently had a tape jam in it, or found a foreign object, like a pen, or piece of candy in it...... another possibility is that if it's with a particular tape, you may have visible gaps in the coating on the tape, which would trigger the sensors, basically saying "STOP.... END OF TAPE..." there are other sensors and sensing conditions that could cause the same problem....... have the mechanism and electronics looked at by an expert.......
