I hate to do this but the model number you provided appears to be incorrect as it does not seem cross to a working model. Usually when a dryer heats but does not turn the drive belt has broken. You can verify this by opening the door, then grasping one of the baffles and see if the drum roatates with relative ease... i.e your not turning the motor as your move the drum. If it moves and your pretty sure the motor isn't turning then the belt has broken or is too loose due to a failure of the idler pulley.

If you pass on a good complete model number I can probably give provide you with the parts information and some how to data.

I get notified via email of any response you have so I will watch for a reply. If I do not get back to you within 4 hours another expert will have the opportunity to help you. (site policy so as not to keep the customer waiting) I can still add coments to help you even if another expert provides you with a solution.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Ctd80 hotpoint dryer panel flashing dryer not working

Filter at bottom of machine needs pulling out and cleaned on a regular basis. This is a common fault and the lights is telling you to clean the filter. It is a large filter that unclips at the bottom front of machine. Remove two small screws from the front of the filter located left and right and gently remove the front plate. Once removed you will see a metal filter clogged with clothing debris. Clean with cotton buds and a damp cloth till clean. replace all parts and you should have it working once again with a good heat source as well. Every 2-3 months is sufficient to keep it cleaned. Hope this helps.

When you take the large metal plate off the back of the drier you will see the 4 elements (bars/coils with fins!). separate the plate from the element bracket by removing the 2 screws. there are 3 round cylinder type electrical connectors, there will be a black one with a hole (approx 2mm) poke a small pin into it and you will hear a click. This is the Bi-Metallic thermo cut out device. as it has tripped once it will have slightly weakened the "sprung contact", This may cause it to trip again a little while later. A new thermostat will be required if it keeps returning. dont forgot to clean the condensor unit on a monthly basis.

Hotpoint ctd80 power gone, not fuse problem, is it thermostat?

Open up panel where the power cord goes into the machine, plug it in and do a voltage check. Also look for possible burned wire at contact connection or wire came off.

I have a hotpoint ctd80 showing error f13, have cleaned all the filters, and cleared the water and still it doesnt clear error on the low heat setting

F13 indicates the rear thermistor is open/short circuit, this is part of the heater circuit. it is akin to a thermostat, but there is more than one!!
Hotoint recommend you call an engineer..
I am assuming that this is a lcd tumble dryer.
Plz leave feedback.
