Have an external hdd, stored images and video clips,it was later scanned by bitdefender and zipped it to MYI. Now I cant retrieve my images at all.how do I go about to retrieve those jpg, avi and docum

Why you do not save all hard drive data on other places before you try to do your stuffs?
So, just learn a lesson to make data backups on several drives in the future.
But, now, to rescue your drive data, you should firstly try some drive data recovery software and see whether your drive data is still recoverable, like:
http://freeware-fix.blogspot.com/2013/03/external-drive-data-recovery.html
Simply scan this hard drive thoroughly and take your needed videos and files back as many as possible.
Good luck!

No access

try other usb port, or other computer and see whether the hdd is detected. If still not, try to go to device manager ( http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000833.htm ), and then assign a drive letter to the hdd. After that, try to access it from Computer, if not able to access it, format it (use quick format) and then use this file recovery software called asoftech data recovery to recover your files.

Folder dissapear only some open file are ther and drive show 80 % full

Most probably your PC & external HDD is infected with dangerous objects/files eg. virus, malwares, etc... which resulted your folders & files atributes changed to "hidden".

Do a thorough Virus/Malware scan for the PC & External HDD, to removed the "dangerous object/files"

Refer to this thread how to recover your "hidden" folder/files @ Reset System and Hidden Attributes for Files or Folders Caused by Virus

Hope it helps

Is there an updated driver available for my Visioneer OneTouch 9020 scanner that will alow it to work on with my Windows 7 operating system?

Visioneer doesn't support this scanner for any OS past XP. If a generic TWAIN scanner driver doesn't work, the single computer workaround is to use a virtual computer with XP. (If your old computer is still working, you can keep the scanner on that and transfer files on an optical disc (CD-R or DVD-R depending on the old computer's specs) or USB flash drive.)

If you have Win7 Pro or Ultimate, you can do run an XP virtual computer for free. Download Virtual PC and XP mode, install XP mode in the Virtual PC program and install the scanner to the virtual computer. To transfer files back to the real computer, you probably will need to save to external media. For other versions, you will need either Virtual PC or another virtualization program and a licensed copy of XP.

I wish that I could be of more help.

Keeps on rebooting at startup

It's either you have a corrupted system boot file on the hard drive or infected with some virus. Try to verify that the PC will not reboot itself in BIOS. If so, memory is most likely the cause.
Burn a CD "HDD Regenerator 1.51" and boot from it, scan all the hard drive and it will attempt to recover all the bad sectors.
If HDD Regenerator finds nothing, then it's very likely Virus related. Take the harddisk out, connect it via external case and Scan with Antivirus on another system. If nothing found, backup your data and rebuild your PC (Reinstall Windows)

Can I scan directly to my computer without having to scan via email with a Savin 3515MF machine?

If you are using XP, click on start, then go into control panel, then to scanners and cameras.
From there select your scanner and follow the directions for scanning.

With vista, click on the start button, then type in scan. There should be an option to "scan a document or picture"
