SOURCE: Parking brake hook up
This wire goes to the "Hot" side of the parking break switch... When the Parking Break is put on, a switch is closed, thus putting an "Earth" on this wire.. Ya can often bypass this by connecting to earth. Sometimes this wire can be "Hot" +12v so B4 doing anything with unit "On" check this wire for any Voltage.

SOURCE: where does the parking brake wire hook up in order
based on my previous experience with the Alpine Mobile Multimedia
Station, 1 wire needs to see 12 volts ie. brake light wire, the other
needs to see ground ie. parking brake.
You can hook up the wire that needs 12 volts to either ignition or some
other 12 volt source. The other wire needs to be connected to a toggle
switch to ground. Then flip the switch as needed to simulate the
parking brake and voila...

SOURCE: How to by pass the e brake wire
at this time there isn't a code bypass for this model. the easiest thing to do so that you can play video while in motion. is to put a toggle switch on the parking brake wire of the dual screen. then do the ebrake pattern on the switch instead of the ebrake in the car
1. disconnect the parking brake wire of the dual from ur ebrake wire in your car.
2. take your 2 wire toggle switch and connect one wire to Ground(metal)
3. take the other wire and connect it to the parking brake wire of the dual screen.
if i remember correctly, the pattern for the dual screens is.
1. starting in the off position.
2. on for 2 secs
3. off for 2 secs.
4. then on .. the the video will show.
hope this helps
