Enable wireless security on your router, so that other people will not be able to connect to your network.

To enable wireless security, access the setup page of the router through a web browser. Type 192.168.2.1 in the address bar.

By default, leave the password blank.

Once in the setup page, go to Wireless. Take note of your SSID. Then go to Security.

Select WEP or WPA, depending on the operating system and capabilities of your wireless computer. If in doubt, you may use WEP since it is the legacy wireless standard.

You can enter your WEP key manually by typing in the hex WEP key manually, or you can type a passphrase in the “PassPhrase” field and click “Generate” to create a WEP key from the passphrase.

Make sure to take note of the WEP key because you will be needing this for your wireless computer.

Click Apply Changes.

On your wireless computer, view the available wireless networks, select your SSID, then type the WEP key.

I hope this helps!

Is Really A Data Breach More Prone To Originate Inside My Business Or Outside It?

more likely inside the business
can be from malicious intent of an employee
failing of the security of the programs ( passwords etc)
possible cookie attachment or tracking virus that came in on an e-mail, web site to an employee or that was opened unintentionally
Upgrade the anti virus to a high quality business program ( not home security)
get in IT security specialists to find the leak or the employee responsible
if you use wifi then put in place security that encodes any wi fi trans actions as any body with a receiver can within 100 meters ( 100 yards ) or driving past can hack your wifi transmissions
again get in IT security professionals to help you close up the gaps in the systems you use

I have a 3 ft stainless double wall chimney that is going thru a ceiling/roof in my garage. there were no instructions on installation. how is this secured? Pls thx Jer

You can use metal strapping with short self-tapping sheet metal screws also where it penetrates roof a metal collar on inside should be used and a roof collar approved for B-wall vent pipe to keep water from leaking inside on outside on the roof. You can penetrate outside of B-wall vent pipe with short screws to secure the pipe just don't penetrate both pipes.this outside pipe is just a insulator to keep heat from transferring through pipe.

I wanna protect my connection from outside users i dont know how to protect it !! please help me out!

You listed your problem ubder: modems. A modem you do not need to protect further. You can only use the connection by hooking up a cable to it. If you have a wireless router connected to your modem that should be secured. You do this by entering a security code in the setup of the router. just enter the router's IP address in your web browser, log in to it,go to the security tab under wireless setup and enter a security code. (write it down because you will need it to connect wireless). You can not connect to it without this code. This way your wireless connection is secured and can not be used by outsiders.

How do i put a password on my Belikn G Plus router.

Hi,
To secure your wireless router you should specify a WPA or WPA2 key (depending what your router supports).
To set it up follow the steps below:
Open an internet explorer and type 192.168.0.1 on the address bar above and press enter.
The router will probably ask for a username and password which if you haven't set it will probably be "admin" for the username and "admin" or a blank password.
Then go to wireless settings and choose wireless security. Choose WPA2 if it is available (avoid WEP as it not very secure). Then enter a passphrase that you will remember and save your settings.
When you try to connect from your laptop or other wireless device it will ask for the type (WEP,WPA, WPA2) and the passphrase that you entered. That's it!

Sony kdf e50 a60 when TV is turned on picture goes off almost immedately and red light starts blinking in stand by mode.

Red light blinking is an indication of lamp problem. Check and secure tightly the following:
  1. Outside lamp cover
  2. Lamp door
  3. Lamp
If all of the above does not solve the problem, you need to replace the lamp. Let the lamp to cool for 30 minutes after unplugging. Use XL-2400 replacement lamp.
  1. Remove the outside lamp cover.
  2. Remove the lamp door.
  3. Pullout the lamp
  4. Hook a finger through the loop of the lamp handle and pull the handle upwards. Then pull the lamp straight out.
  5. Mount the new lamp securely.
  6. Reattach the lamp door. Turn the knob back to "CLOSE" and secure the cover.
  7. Put the outside lamp cover back in its place.
