Ink problem I have a problem with the ink I replaced a couple of cartridges - blue and yellow Now it won't print the blue At first I accidently put a black cartridge in the yellow place. Then I got an error message telling me to replace the yellow, so I did. The blue was running very low, so I replaced that one too. Now when I print I don't get any blue . .. PLEASE ADVISE Barbara

Why does the blue colour turn out red on printing plus the yellow is mainly pink?? I am trying to print out invites for my son's 10th birthday & he is not impressed with the pink!!

See if the ink cartridges are installed correctly. It may be that your Magenta and Yellow ink cartridges need to change places. So, try replacing the cartridges, put the Magenta where the Yellow is, and the Yellow where the Magenta is.
Usually the ink cartridge placement follows this order:
Cyan, Magenta, Yelow, Black, so see if the cartridges on your printer match. Also, check to see if there are color markings on the print-head itself, and make sure the markings match the cartridge inks.
If the ink cartridges are aligned properly and the Black is printing out just fine, you may be looking at a software issue, and you'll need to remove the printer from the Devices list (go to Start -> Control Panel -> System), unplug the printer from the PC and restart. Then, install the drivers first, and after that plug in the printer cable to the PC.

If this was helpful and informative please vote with a Thumb Up. Thank you.

Only prints in green and blue

You are more than likely out of magenta (red) ink. That printer uses a tri-color cartridge, and it has cyan (blue) magenta (red) and yellow ink. Green is blue + yellow-therefore you do have those two colors; since it will not print anything red or black you will need to replace both cartridges.

I have replaced all cartridges-Black, yellow, blue, cyan ; however, print message indicates replace yellow.

The head of the printer may be defective that's why the cartridge is not detected by the printer.

I changed all Print cartridges-Black, Yellow,Cyan,Blue

On this machine you have to install inks with power on and use the ink button and choose replace ink. If you just plug them in it won't register and reset the counts. You may need to run clean cycles at least twice to get proper colors.

I put blue ink in a black cartridge and from then

Hi, you shouldn't have done that, because the color cartridge and black cartridge are not of the same make, what you need to do now is to change the cartridge, get a new cartridge to replace to troubleshoot, let see if it will print.

Compliments and wish you best of luck.

Losing Ink

Depending on how many times you have refilled the wells of the cartride the sensor inside may be going bad as the manufature of the cartridge only intended it for a one time use. My recommendation would be to buy a off brand compatible and refill those.

Hp Deskjet 845C - Yellow Colour not Printing

I found this post to work for me when yellow was not printing on my HP PSC750 after using 2 cartridges: "Well if you want to damage your printer use alcohol. But if you want to make it work then pull the cartridge from the printer and run hot water on a couple of paper towels leaving alot of hot water in the towels. Put some thing under them to keep them from staining your counter top and then set the cartridge down onto the hotwater towel and let the hot water melt away the dry ink and in minutes you may be printing again if this is what it is. Be sure and use a dry paper towel to wipe off the ecess wet before you reinstall the cartridge."
