According to Venturers website, they do not offer battery packs or anything like that.
Also i don't think there are compatible third party battery packs available...

My JVC KW-AVX836 DVD car reciever screen has gone dead after the car had gone for a general wash and clean at the workshop.

I just got the solution to this problem. This issue is due to temporary battery disconnect from the car and is simply rectified by retuning the car at the service station

Jensen VM9314 remote does not work...not the battery

Your remote may be faulty.
I would either take it to an autozone and check it is working there ( they have an infrared remote check on their keyless remote battery center that will show the IR signal being sent).
you can point it at almost any of the security cameras in production and view the 'IR flashlight' on the video screen/ monitor.

If the remote is in fact not producing a light , I will assume the unit needs replacement batterys or remote.

Alternately , you can disassemble the remote and check the IR emitter with an Ohm/Volt meter.
should the signal be present on the meter and yet no 'light' is being emitted , then replace the emitter with a new one (avail. at radio shack...)

If the remote does emit a signal , chances are the reciever is bad.

My Jensen came with two remotes... did you try the other one ?

Where can I find a key to pull a Jensen deck out of my car?

Best buy sells a pack of generic keys - and may also let you borrow some from the installers.

Any Car Stereo shop that sells Jensen will have them.

You can also purchase on sites like eBay.

The fix for the override on the dual described above is not recommended, unessassary and dangerous.

If anyone has the original thread please post the override question again and I can answer it.

On the IPOD classic question, your new IPOD 160 has a different firmware that will not be compatible with your dual model. The older one is compatible, IPOD had changed their firmware and only tv/dvd units / radios that were manufactured in 2008 will be compatible. So unless your unit is one of the new ones that is loaded with the new apple / IPOD firmware no NEW ipods will work on those devices. Call your manufacturer to get exact info. 1-866-382-5476

Dual screen car dvd player screen problem

Hello badkitty13, I don't usually do this but I would suggest that if the unit is not worth repairing, you donate it to a local vocational school. The reason I say this is because the unit may have a loose solder connection, hence the wiggling of the cable cleared the problem. This would have been an easy issue to take care of. However, the 6 month storage period tells me the this unit is dated, and that means the chances of finding the proper documentation is slim to none. The unit may just need to have the connector resoldered, but is the cost worth it? Donating it will at least give the electronics repair persons of the future a chabce to practice working on such a unit. Thank you, Shuttle83
