A very comprehensive OM follows:
http://www.einhell-uk.co.uk/downloads/1840_Electric_Chainsaw.pdf
See page 11, The only thing I saw lacking is a caution to elevate the nose of the bar when making adjustments and tightening the side cover else it will require frequent adjustment (slack).

Hello James;
Your saw is listed here and contians a link to "isc-gmbh" for an instruction manual. My German is a little weak.
http://www.einhell.com/englisch/englisch.aspx?file=gartentechnik

I think this will get you to a "Contact Us" page where you can make your request.

I must admit I am not familiar with your saw and many electrics are different. This is a very good manual for an electric and while it may not be exact is good guidance. Please obtain the correct OM for your saw, but this should work in the interim.

How do you put a chain back onto a chainsaw

on one side of the saw are two nuts and a chain tightener screw. loosen the nuts but don't take them off. turn the tightening screw counter clockwise. the bar should slide backwards. the chain goes over the clutch disk and the tangs go into the bar groove. just keep pressing the tangs into the bar all the way to the tip and around the tip sprocket. now turn the adjustment screw clockwise which will tighten the chain. don't tighten it too much! leave a little "play" - tighten down the nuts. plug in the saw and start it. if the saw has a chain oiler press the oiler a few times. as you use the saw the chain will expand and loosen. loosen the nuts and tighten it again just a little.

Tightening chain

with the electric makita you should make sure the bar is sitting on that oval slide piece on the saw. they should fit together so that the bar will sit flush against the clutch plate and saw. attach the cover with the nut and tighten just enough to hold the cover on. then turn the screw on the nose of the saw, next to the bar, and then tighten the nut the rest of the way. if there's slipping or the chain wont tighten you should inspect the bar to make sure it is sitting flush against the saw.
