Question about Dell Dimension 4600 PC Desktop

Well that narrows it down to about 30000 things. Since that is all you know, I can't go into real deep tech stuff,so here's the basics:
Make sure it's plugged in & that if plugged into a power strip that it also is on & suppling power.
Make sure the monitor is plugged in to power & that it is connected firmly to the proper video port on back. If it uses a video card, that's where it plugs in,otherwise it goes to the onboard port.
If none of the above applies, then listen for any noise, a beep or series of them,lights if any,fans,etc. If none are present,you got big problems. Dell & bad motherboards are very common on dimentions in general.
