Question about Washing Machines
The washer recently started making a strange grinding noise when it goes into cycles. i wash big bathmats that my puppy uses for piddle pads quite frequently, however, the washer is supposed to be able to handle big loads, so i don't know what's causing it.
the dryer started acting strange a few weeks ago. the dryer light would flicker and then finally come on when opening the door. it finally stopped altogether, including the power. it acted like the cord might be falling out, causing it to have this intermittent problem, but then we checked the cord, saw that it's fully plugged in...still no power. any advice?
very, very frustrated. we have owned these for less than a year.

take off the bottom kick panel locate the drain pump now there will still be water in the washer so take caution when following this procedure i use a shop vac and suck all the water out of the drain hose to prevent a mess then the frount of the drain pump will screw off check it for blockage or damaged impeller blades

An F1 is almost always a defective main control board. Could try unplugging the unit for a few minutes and see if it will reset. The part # for the board is W10110072. Sears sells it for $119.46 http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/getSubComp.pd?modelNumber=WFW8300SW01&productCategoryId=0153200&brandId=1198&modelName=RESIDENTIAL-WASHER&diagramPageId=00003&componentDescription=CONTROL%20PANEL%20PARTS&documentId=W0607261&backToLink=Return%20to%20Sub%20Components%20list.
