Hi, the heat strips that come with different units mount in different places. I am surprised they didn't send you instructions on how to mount it. It has to be mounted in the air stream after the supply fan. You should have a diagram on your unit either inside or on the out door unit that may be of help. If you can see where it plugs in, you should be close if they sent you the right strip kit. What I would do is get the model, serial, and name of unit and the information off the one they sent you and if you haven't figured it out by what little I have told you, call them and ask. They should be able to pull a diagram up on there computer and tell you with in a few minutes and if they sent the right one. Use there 800 number or if not, have them call you or reverse charges. Let me know how this goes. On most all units that I have installed kits in, it was very easy to find where they lay in the air stream. You may have the wrong one, just a thought. Please keep me posted.
Sincerely,
Shastalaker7

There are no heating strips within this unit. This unit has a heater part 5304476390 that you would need to replaced upon a diagnosis.

Whirlpool electric dryer - looks like a WED5200T but no model number on the unit. The drum turns and air blows from the vent, but the timer has stopped working and there is no heat.

you have a white strip on the back of your dryer un plug your dryer first.....then un plug the strip and hook the two wires together that will allow the heat to start again.....the timer shouldnt have anything to do with the heat....turn it on and put your ear to the knob and you should here a clock sound if not your timer is bad

Depending on the unit it might be possible but the 1st thing you have to do is change the wire to your unit probably to # 6 depending on the KVA rating of the heat strips. Your unit because it's gas it is wired only for 20 or 30 amps & most electric strips are 60 amps.

Should mount in front of the fan blade and in back of the evaporator coil. There should be a space there for the installation

I have a Goodman phk 024-1 unit that will not heat.

Basically, set unit to call for the heat strips to be energized. There should be a control that sends power to the heat strips. Usually a contactor or relay. Verify that power passes thru this device to the heat strips. Make sure that the correct voltage is being delivered to the heat strips. If correct voltage is present at the terminals of the heat strip, check the amps. If no amps, heat strip is probably broken. Don't forget that some of these units have sequencers that "Stage" the energizing of the strips. And all of them should have some safety device such as a fuse or thermal overload or some other device that stops voltage should there be a malfunction.
Hope this helps.

Is it hard to install a heat strip in a model#57915541 serial#54936348 air conditioner

Hi, like most of the RV roof tops, they will have a manual showing the type and wattage of heat strips you're system calls for. It comes as a unit, pre-wired to fit and set in place. You should have no problems installing a heat strip kit, but make sure you get the right one that the unit calls for as they do make several models. Very self explanatory. Also, be sure that you're system calls for a heat strip package?? Good Luck, and if you need more help please contact me. Very easy to set in place and plug in. Sincerely,

Cooles but will not heat

heat strip is possibly burnt out and will need to be replaced. The strip sits inside the unit right behind the evaporator coil, To access the heat strip you will need to remove the unit from its casing and place it on a level surface.. The heat strip is possibly in a metal casing and the heat strips look like the heat strips in a toaster. The assembly comes out by removal of a few phillips head screws and has an electrical disconnect plug that powers the coil. Take the coil assembly along with the model and serial number to the nearest appliance parts house for replacement part. Good Luck hope this helped you somewhat

Need to make sure your wire size to the inside unit is large enough to handle the amperage, that you have a two stage heat thermostat.
