In order to replace the rollers you had to take off the dryer front. You probably had to unplug the wires to the door switch which if I remember right is in the top left corner of the front panel. Check those connections to the push button switch. If it is not connected, the door will show as open even though it is closed. Or the switch got damaged and is not making contact inside when door is closed. If i remember it is a 3 wire 1 piece plug.It also operates the drum light.
check the door switch as this switch has 2 positions one for the light on/door open and the other door closed light off and dryer can operate, depending the make & model will determine how to access this door switch
The reasons can be a fault on the program controller unit but as the door does not close the program also will not move further. This must be the clue to the fault. Remove and check the lock and the settings. manually close the door with force and see if the program cycle starts, if not check the door switch and the control panel. Also check for output when the timer counts down. If not the controller unit must be checked for possible problems.
CK, There's a switch behind the dryer door. Push it in and out with your finger, you should here it "click, click, click" and the light should go on and off. If it doesn't, you'll need to replace the door switch.
If that's the case, I'll need the full model number. It's on a sticker on the front panel behind the door. (it should be like three digits, decimal point and about 7 more numbers... 110.*******) With that number, I'll be able to look up parts for you and guide you through this easy repair.
