I have just replaced my both catridges in the printer the first one two weeks ago and then it still said that I had to replace it but I ignored it then the coloured one wanted replacing and I replace it but then it would not allow me to print at all and I noticed that the orange light would not stop flashing I have checked that the cartridges are correctively put in.

Please can you help.

Reset ink cartridge

Unfortunately you can't....

The ink level indicator cannot be manually re-set in the newer HP, Lexmark or Dell integrated ink cartridges, thus making it not usable. The OEMs all leverage 'fusible links' in the nozzle plate (internal to base of ink cartridge) which physically blows the resistors as the original ink is consumed...thus resetting the ink cartridge's ink level monitoring capability is simply not possible. The ink tracking feature is only available with a brand new ink cartridge.

However, losing this feature is not necessarily significant, because the ink level indicator usually has 20%-30% ink remaining when it shows "low on ink". Therefore, the warning has limited value, because customers who prematurely replace their cartridges when they see the "low ink" message are wasting a lot of residual ink.

Refer to any of the following videos which cover this 'low ink' subject in detail:

How do i change my ink cartridges in my epson workforce 520 series 3 in 1 printer?

Replacing Ink Cartridges
Make sure you have a new ink cartridge before you begin.
Caution:
Do not open ink cartridge packages until you are ready to install the ink. Cartridges are
vacuum packed to maintain reliability.
Leave the expended cartridge installed until you have obtained a replacement, or the ink
remaining in the print head nozzles may dry out.
1. Turn on the product.
2. If an ink cartridge is low or expended, you see a
message on the LCD screen indicating which
color to replace. Press OK.
If a cartridge is expended, you must replace it to be able to print or copy. If a
cartridge is low, you can continue printing until a cartridge needs
replacement.
If you're replacing a cartridge before you see a message on the LCD screen,
press xMenu, press u or d to select Maintenance, and press OK. Then
select Ink Cartridge Replacement and press OK.
3. Open the scanner, then open the cartridge cover.
4. Squeeze the tab on the cartridge and lift it up.
Dispose of it carefully. Do not take the used
cartridge apart or try to refill it.
Warning:
If ink gets on your hands, wash them thoroughly with
soap and water. If ink gets into your eyes, flush them
immediately with water. Keep ink cartridges out of the
reach of children and don't drink the ink.
5. Before you open the new cartridge package,
shake it gently four or five times. Then remove
it from the package.
6. Remove the yellow tape from the bottom of
the ink cartridge.
Caution:
Do not remove any other labels or seals, or ink will
leak. Do not touch the green chip on the front of
the cartridge. This can damage the ink cartridge.
7. Insert the new ink cartridge into the holder
and push it down until it clicks into place.
8. Once you replace all the cartridges that need replacing, close the cartridge
cover and push it down until it clicks into place.
9. Close the scanner.
10. Press OK to begin charging the ink. This takes
about 2 1/2 minutes. When you see a
completion message on the LCD screen, ink
charging is finished.

Caution:

Never turn off the product while ink is charging or you'll waste ink. If you see an ink
replacement message on the LCD screen, press OK and press down all the cartridges
securely. Then press OK again. If you remove a low or expended ink cartridge, you
cannot reinstall and use the cartridge.

Replacing Ink Cartridges Make sure you have a new ink cartridge before you begin. You must install new cartridges immediately after removing the old ones. Caution: Do not open ink cartridge packages until you are ready to install the ink. Cartridges are vacuum packed to maintain reliability. Note: Leave the expended cartridge installed until you have obtained a replacement, or the ink remaining in the print head nozzles may dry out. 1. Turn on your printer. 2. If an ink cartridge is expended, the error and ink lights on the control panel stay on. 3. Open the document cover, then open the ink cover. Caution: Do not remove the ink cartridge guard or you may damage the printer.24 Maintaining Your Printer 4. Press the y Stop button. If a cartridge is low or expended, the print head moves that cartridge to the replacement position to indicate that it should be replaced. The P Power light starts flashing. If two or more ink cartridges are expended, the expended cartridge at the far left moves to the replacement position. The P Power light starts flashing. If no cartridges are low or expended, the print head does not move. Note: Do not hold the y Stop button for more than three seconds, or the printer may start cleaning the print head. 5. Squeeze the tab on the cartridge and lift it up. Dispose of it carefully. Do not take the used cartridge apart or try to refill it. This takes about 1 1/2 minutes.26 Maintaining Your Printer When the P Power light stops flashing and the error and ink lights go out, ink charging is finished. 10. Close the ink cover, then close the document cover. Caution: Never turn off the your Epson printer while ink is charging or you'll waste ink. If the error and ink lights remain on after the print head moves into its home position, an ink cartridge may not be installed properly. Have installed new ink cartridge. still getting low inw warning

Hi there,

The low ink cartridge warning is nothing to worry about. If it prints, it prints. Most modern printer cartridges have a chip on it which lets the printer know when the ink is low. When you run low on ink, it sends a message to the printer which sends a message to the computer telling you to refill the ink. The problem is that it doesn't go away once you refill the ink. It still prints, you just get a notification whenever you want to print. You can still use it up until that new cartridge runs out of ink. :)

I have installed a new ink cartridge but it still will not print saying it is out of ink

The low ink warning if you are using remanufactured cartridges.Even if you aren't, the OEM companies place a chip inside of each cartridge that counts the number of pages that you print. When the cartridges reach a certain number of pages, they automatically tell your printer that you are running low on ink. The warning can usually be bypassed by clicking the “Resume” or “OK” button, or by disabling your ink level indicator. Here is a link on how to bypass the warning on Canon cartridges that may help:
