Hi just read your posting.Does your machine drain the water out?Starting from left to right what lights were lit on the progress bar when it started to beep? Was it the 2nd and 5th or 3rd and 7th---etc---?Please reply with additional information on the questions and I am sure I can help you rectify this fault.
the control module needs replaced. that is where the brains are call around and see if any service can be done on this particular machine....and if parts are available..that is my best recommendation..goodday
The main controller appears to be very confused or failed.
To test, fully remove power from the diswasher for at least 90 seconds. Power back on and test. If the same behaviour is seen, the controller card has almost certainly failed. A service call is the next step to repair.
If you reply, please include the model number of your Whirlpool Dishwasher. Good Luck!

WHIRLPOOL ADP 8540 dishwasher has blinking light on all the time (blinking in cycles of 4). When you turn it on (by holding the button down for around 4 seconds) it wont complete the cycle and you need to keep restarting it. can anyone let us know what the problem may be. Thank you
