Question about Ovens
My Frigidaire Stove (m# - CMEF352CFS3 S# NF81907833) has two problems. The first is that is that somehow the lock was turned on while the door is open and I am unable to turn it off. My second problem is that the indicator light comes on randomly and the oven will constantly beep whether it has actually reached the preheat temperature or not. Any help would be welcomed.

Hi ya mate sorry to hear your having problems with you oven,
The problem wiht your oven seems to ba a faliure of the fsd/ffd, it seems to me that this device is not completey gone but is faulty.
This device is used as a safety feature on gas ovens and is there to turn the gas off to the oven when the flame has failed.
The way it works is that the intial small flame heats up the the phile at the end of the cappliary tube which is connected to a valave which realses the gas to the oven..
what you need is to have it change
hope this helps

I had the same problem. All I had to do was clean around the door lock. A small bit of burnt food or something had gotten into the hole around the lock and prevented it from moving all the way into position. Took a tooth pick and 30 seconds of probing to clean it out. Works fine now.

You must check your incoming power for 220 volts. You have lost one leg of your power. Either a bad breaker or bad wall outlet or bad range cord.

F5 - E7
Self clean latch will not unlock
1. If door latched:
4. Measure latch switch (unlatch = switch open, CAUTION - oven light contacts are closed). Replace switch if defective.
5. If corrections are made in any step, reconnect power to control. Press and hold any key for 1 minute to clear R failure code from memory. F2 will appear. Press CANCEL and observe for 1 minute to ensure operation is correct.
6. If failure remains, disconnect power and replace control.
Note: Applies to all F5-E... codes.
