Ice Chute door dislodged

Does anyone know where I can find a schematic to put the ice door back together? Can't see too well in the tiny space and wondering if the faceplate to the ice and water service are snaps off. Don't want to break it...

IF THE ICE DOOR HAS COME OFF, THE CHANCES ARE THAT THE PLASTIC TAB THAT HOLDS THE HINGE PIN IN PLACE HAS BROKEN. IT IS PART OF THE PLASTIC HOUSING. WHIRLPOOL/KITCHENAID HAS A FIX KIT THAT REPLACES THE PLASTIC TABS WITH A METAL BRACE THAT IS PRESSURE TAPED IN PLACE. I HAVE INSTALLED A COUPLE OF THESE KITS AND IT TAKES PATIENCE AND TIME. THE KIT WILL HAVE INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO INSTALL. FIRST VERIFY THAT THE TAB HAS BROKEN. IT IS LOCATED IN THE UPPER LEFT SIDE OF THE OPENING TO THE ICE CHUTE.

Frost builds up on the inside of the ice bucket and the ice seems to be melting together. Water runs out of the bottom of the ice bucket both inside and through the front.

Make sure the ice Chute door is closing all the way usually when you have frost build up in that area the ice Chute door is stuck open and it's going to have to be repaired

My ice in the ice maker seems to be melting together and they are fusing into big ice cubes that cannot dispense/

This tends to happen when ice has sat in the ice bucket for a couple days of non use. The warmer your kitchen the worst this tends to happen. What's usually happening is the ice bucket is sitting on the door where the ice dispenser sends it to your glass. Since the cavity in the door is exposed to the warm air in your kitchen it can work its way to the ice bucket area via the chute in the door and when the moist warm kitchen air reaches the ice cubes in the bucket it turns everything into melting ice cubes which eventually freezes at some point and clogs up the ice bucket with large globs of ice pieces that the ice crusher can't handle. About the only thing to do is remove the ice globs from the bucket and make new ice. This is not all that abnormal, just a pain though. Try putting something in the chute (small Rag?) to see if this stops it. If it does then there's not a whole lot you can do about it but use the ice machine more often so it doesn't all sit there melting together.

Will not release ice and makes crushed ice, even when on cubed.

I believe in your case the ice maker part number WR30X10093 being electronic with the control board in the front is the problem. I think the control board behind the front cover of the ice maker may have corrosion and causing the ice maker to malfunction. You can try disconnecting the set of wires to the coil on the water control valve and see if the water stops or turn off the ice maker first and try disconnecting the coil wires later. It has to be the control board or the water control valve part number WR57X10032

Ice in bucket freezes into a lump, mechanism freezes

it sounds like the ice chute door is stuck open. on this model it can slip off the "hinge pin" or the plastic that holds the pin can break. if the flap is broken it is replacable. the pin can be put back in. if the plastic that holds the pin is broken, you need to replace the whole door. expect to wait 6-8 weeks for a new door, sooner if lucky. cost is $400 +++ more for stainless.I hope the pin fell out. hope this helps

Ice chute door

THE FACE PLATE OF THE DISPENSER ASSEMBLY SHOULD HAVE A SLOT ON THE BOTTOM CORNERS. INSERT A LARGE BLADED SCREW DRIVER IN THE SLOTS AND TWIST. IT WILL SNAP AND YOU WILL THINK YOU HAVE BROKEN IT BUT IT DIDN'T. ONCE THE BOTTOM IS RELEASED, PICK UP ON THE FACE PLATE TO DISENGAGE IT FROM THE TOP OF THE ASSEMBLY. IF YOUR DOOR FELL OFF, THE CHANCES ARE THAT A PLASTIC LOOP BROKE OFF THAT THE HINGE PIN SLIDES INTO. A FIX KIT HAS BEEN DEVELOPED TO REPAIR THIS PROBLEM. BEST TO BE INSTALLED BY A FACTORY AUTHORIZED SERVICER. IT CAN BE DIFFICULT.
I HAVE INSTALLED TWO OF THEM MYSELF.
