I have the same laptop and downgraded just like you. And through hours of research found all drivers.

Chipset/Graphics: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=N&ProductID=2800&DwnldID=16463&strOSs=44&OSFullName=Windows*%20XP%20Professional&lang=eng

Wifi Driver: http://download.softpedia.ro/dl/d6b73a9cb498485d55cb244158fb5f87/4887531c/300030675/drivers/NETWORK/atheros_v5_1_1_9.exe

Sound is a little tricky. First install
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=US&swItem=PSG_I23303-108286

Then install link below. It should give a warning stating that the media device was not found but ignore that, go to device manager and update device driver (the device should now be listed as audio something in there not unknown). Don't let it look automatically, instead choose manually choose driver and click have disk when the list of sound card drivers comes up and navigate to C:SwSetupü43 and then choose the only driver in the file. Don't worry about the warnings of microsoft not supporting. After the driver installs just reboot and sound will work. (sometimes takes a couple of reboots): http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/genericSoftwareDownloadIndex?cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&softwareitem=ob-42513-1&jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN

That's it! Hope it works for you!

Hi mansur,
Chipset:
You should try Intel for your chipset (click here)
This will bring the download page from intel, enter your motherboard model/family and download chipset driver.

Graphics:
I think is should be NVIDIA graphics card, If I am right then click here for driver.

Audio:
It might be from HD Audio Realtek, if so, then Click Here for driver.

Wireless:
For wireless you should download from HP, click here for download.

If you have any other manufacturer you can make search on their site. Or let me know, I will give you the link.

Thanks
Iqbal

All driver for my compaq presario cq50 106ca for win xp. my hp have no driver at all only windows xp. someone can help? yaoshor_khay@yahoo.com

Hello,

Did you downgrade this from Vista? When you do that you run the risk of not being able to find drivers for the computer.

The only XP drivers that HP provides for XP are these:

CQ50-106CA Drivers XP

You may want to consider going to http://www.drivershq.com/XPDrivers.aspx and doing a scan to see if it recognizes your hardware and has drivers available. There is a fee though if you want to get them.

Thanks for using Fixya.

Go to this page and download the audio driver you need.
You will need to know which brand of CPU is in your computer. (AMD or Intel) as there are 2 different drivers....

Sound card dvr for presario v6500 with Windows XP

This is from HP's website:
If an HP Pavilion and Compaq Presario, delivered with Vista isdowngraded to the XP operating system, HP may not provide drivers.Users are encouraged to search the Microsoft web site for informationon downgrading to XP and locating updated drivers.

See Issues with Downgrading HP Pavilion and Compaq Presario PCs to Windows XP and Restoring Windows Vista for more detailed information.

The Service Manual may tell you the chipset of the sound card(but I didn't see it just part numbers). Also, you can run this utility here(look for audio in the output), in the event that you can't figure out the chipset otherwise.

According to this post, it appears that it may be part of windows update, you can try that.

LAN and Sound Driver while downgrading from Vista to XP for Compaq B1214TU

Hello.
Did you look in the CDs you got from your pc vendor ?

Look in the documents you got with the pc for the motherboard(main board in your pc) manual, if you don't have the manual
try to locate it in one of the CDs included with the pc.
The important thing is to find out who made your motherboard and what is the model.
Once you know that, go to the manufacturer website, find the drivers for your model( for XP of course), download it and install it in your pc.
Note: when you get the drivers, SAVE it in a CD.

Good luck
