You need to log into the router. You set the WEP key in the router; Linksys does NOT have access to your WEP key.

If you can log into the router, set the key and copy it down. If you can, use WPA2 encryption (more secure than WEP).

How to replace the plug were the ac power get connected on a PSLV6U-01F009 some people tell me that I hve to replace the whole mother board.

If your problem is just the wirings/cables then you can get those on computer repair shops at a very cheap price. So better visit one and bring your computer with you so they can replace it themselves.

Thanks for using fixya!

Computer have hp brand but this system don't get display when monetor cabel is connected to cpu

Try different monitors hooked up to the computer. If your not getting any video from any monitor then at that point. Try unseating and reseating the memory one stick at a time in each slot one at at time. Try turning on the computer after each reseat. If that doesn't work then try unseating and reseating the CPU and see if that makes the computer turn on. After this, make sure only the power supply is hooked up. If you still can't get video then that means the motherboard is bad and would need to be replaced.

I updated my window vista OS.When I tried to install my Linksys Router I get the message Error 311 no wired adapter detected

Hi,

This could be the problem with your network driver which is overwritten by driver from Windows updates.

Try to overwrite by the .ini using device manager.

Get the compatible ethernet driver from your computer manufacture web site if dont have one.

Right click on MyComputer -> Manage -> Device Manager(expand the tree on the left side)

Under Network Adapters choose the ethernet wired adapter -> Update driver -> Choose Manually the .ini from the system where you stored the driver and update it.

Hope it will work fine

WHAT IS THE SSID NUMBER OF MY WIRELESS G ROUTER MODEL #DX-WGRTR

The SSID is the name of the wireless network. On the Belkin routers if you connect to the router using your web browser (default is by typing 192.168.2.1 in the address bar) on the left side of the screen there will be a selection for "Channel and SSID" under wireless. If you have a computer that uses wireless you can also scan fo available wireless networks and it will show you a list of the wireless networks near you and from that list you can find the one that you use and the name of the network is the SSID.

We need to print from wireless laptop .help please

Hi,

I am assuming that:
1. There is installed a shared printer in one of the other computers in your network; or
2. The shared printer is connected to a Wireless USB Printer Server;
3. The laptop can connect to the network and is authorized to access/use shared resources.

Procedure would be identical to installing a printer. Follow on screen instructions. Click on Start, Printers & Faxes, Add a Printer, Next, tick "A network printer....", tick "Browse for a printer", Next, Select printer choice, Next, OK, make default, print test page. It might take a bit of time while drivers are copied from the printer server to your laptop. In some printer that is directly connected to the network, you need to pop in the CD that came with that printer and install. Thereafter, you need to change the port setting in the Printer Properties to TCP/IP and point to the assigned IP address of the printer.

Hope this be of some help/idea. pls post gain how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
