Question about Daewoo L700C 17" Flat Panel LCD Monitor

1 Answer

My daewoo lc1700c will not turn on. No matter how many times how hard how soft how long or how short you hold the button in for nothing comes up nor does the light come on. Im not a fool. The monitor is plugged into the wall and the other end pf the cord is plugged into the back of the monitor. i have isolated the problem to be something either inside the monitor or the power button itself. And suggestions?

Open it up and look at the capacitors. The round "tin can" looking components. If the tops appear bulged, then replacing them may help. Check out the YouTube video... and web site...

Looses color after playing for short time. color comes back after turning off for awhile

First see if it does this with a DVD etc connected--rules some things in and out.

Most of these have two resets, the soft and the hard-----if it has the soft with the Mitsubishi remote: (set on) Menu, 1,2,3 enter.

I would not do the reset if no issue with a DVD etc.

Timing belt

Never. The average car should survive it's lifetime without changing the timing belt. However, like anything, it can still break, wear out, or loosen up. No matter the issue, it is usually a major job to replace a timing belt, so give yourself time, and make sure to have the instructions on the exact procedures for changing the timing belt.

Timing belt on Daewoo 01 Leganza. I'm at 66,000 miles and my mechanic says I should replace the timing belt. I drive the car less than 2,000 miles a year. Should I go ahead and replace it or see how...

replace it. that 60000 mile mark is the accepted time to replace a timing belt.No matter how little you drive, if it goes whil driving, you are looking at major engine damage.

The touch screen stopped responding. Worked well all day yesterday but this morning quit working.

Perform hard reset. Turn unit off. Press soft reset and turn unit on at same time

Daewoo speakers doesnt work

i wouldnt think they are blown if they start to sound "great" after you messed with the stereo.

but to be sure they are not blown, gently push on the cone down. if it moves very soft then that means the speaker is ok.
if it moves a bit too hard.. that means it might be bad
if it moves a bit hard and theres a "scratchy" feeling while pushing the cone down.. that means the coil is blown. this can happen due to too much bass/distorted signal for a long time.

but my guess will be a loose wire connection at the speaker. make sure they are tightly in, clean, and no dirt/oil on them.

Try doing a hard reset, you will see another switch next to the soft reset... turn it off for 5 minutes and then back on and see if this works.
