Put all the tracks into one folder and name it with the CD Title.

Then simply import the folder into iTunes by using the 'Add Folder to Library option'.

Do not import the tracks one at a time or they will be split up as you describe above.

You need to organise the playlist in the order you want.
First you need the mp3 files. Then use itunes to make a playlist and make the playlist the same order as the cd, or as you want it.

The problem is, i want to put music from my laptop onto my apple ipod 4GB a1051, how do i do that please?

The following information has come directly from the apple support web site.

Adding Content Automatically or Manually
There are two ways to add content to iPod nano: ? Automatic syncing: When you connect iPod nano to your computer, iPod nano is automatically updated to match the items in your iTunes library. You can sync all your songs, playlists, videos, and podcasts, or, if your entire iTunes library doesn’t fit on iPod nano, you can sync only selected items. You can sync iPod nano automatically with only one computer at a time. ? Manually managing iPod nano: When you connect iPod nano, you can drag items individually to iPod nano and delete them individually from iPod nano. You can add songs from more than one computer without erasing songs from iPod nano. When you manage music yourself, you must always eject iPod nano from iTunes before you disconnect it.

The following URL will bring you to the iPod Nano manual. For more information on setting up you iPod see chapter 2: Setting up iPod Nano

I hope that information above has helped is some way.
If possible please rate this solution.

go through your itunes and select her songs... next to title and album and time on itunes you should see artist, if its not there right click on the title bar and select artist, if it is there select all songs right click and edit info, then just retype MIA in artist...
it was either not there or not reading correctly

Ipod nano problem

hello blair,I Have my own I-pod so I hope this will re asure you. First I think you should restore your I tunes as long as your brother has your songs too. Then ask him to create a CD of all your songs, which is not hard at all. then take the CD and open I-Tunes. Place the CD into your hard drive and I-Tunes should pick up the CD. Then download the content of the CD onto I-Tunes. You Will Now have all your songs on I-Tunes like before. Now plug in your I-Pod and continue like It's the first time you have pluged in your i-pod! hope this helps! Rosebetts xxx

Ipod doesn't show music in artists, only in albums.

Go to Get Info and unclick "Compilation". If it's a compilation it won't show the different artist, which is actually a cool idea.
